Are all the bugs worked out of the Ranger II's? There is a 4 inch loitering in my lgs case. I calls me over every time I walk in. Retail price and the dealer won't budge. Wait or buy? What says you guys?

If you want it, buy it. Prices aren't coming down anytime soon, if ever. Market is too strong for prices to drop.

I agree with that 100%.
Besides you only live once. If you want it get it. If you don't, one day you WILL regret it.

I was read about some problems with the Ranger II EB's. That was a year ago or so. I'm thinking they've gotten that all worked out?

I bought one a couple weeks ago. It arrived last Tuesday and was immediately sent to the factory to have a .22lr cylinder fitted and timed. Should be back within the week. So, I have no input either way on any issues, but I shall soon see.

As a side note, all Mini revolvers (as well as many other revolvers) are completely stainless steel (except grips). I am in manufacturing and we use tons (literally) of stainless steel. Delivery price and times are increasing dramatically (1 month delivery time has now been extended to 12+ months and prices as of today are up about 50% with no relief in sight). We use a softer stainless than a gun manufacturer would, but I assume the same challenges exits across all grades of stainless. Prices on an already manufactured item will quite likely be lower than an item manufactured two months from now. All this depends on the raw material inventory levels of the manufacturer, but it is something to at least consider.

Ozark did they give you a rough cost of having that work done? If I buy it I'll want the LR cylinder, I might as well do it sooner then later. Then there's the call to Rick for some trick leather. The grips are pretty nice but stag would be awesome. Darn it, I don't know if I'm talking myself into it or out of it.  ???

If you have an FFL ship to NAA and receive back from NAA, the cost is $99. This includes the cylinder, fitting, timing and return shipping. If you ship and receive your self, the same services will be $126, I think. Your FFL will be able to ship to NAA cheaper than you (this is not included in these totals). My FFL charges $14 bucks for shipping via USPS. So All in, I'm looking at like $113. Plus NAA gives the "Dealer Discount" on the services. If you handle the transaction yourself, you loose the "Dealer Discount" plus the return shipping is like $5 more. Not to mention, you will need to ship overnight via UPS or FedEx (no USPS for non-FFL customers). Last I checked it was around $100 to overnight a gun through UPS and FedEx.

So, I have four suggestions:
1. Buy the Ranger
2. Have an FFL ship to NAA for the conversion. By the way, when I bought the gun I had it shipped to this same FFL and immediately sent it back out to NAA. He only charged me one transfer fee.
3. Buy leather from Rick, I have some for my Sheriff, and I cannot recommend him enough. As soon as the Ranger arrives, I will be ordering from him.
4. Let me know where you find some grips. I have elk on my Sheriff, and I love them. But, they are the birds head style, and I prefer the boot grips for the Ranger. I have not had any luck finding anything I like in the boot grips. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.
