Rick made me a custom pocket holster for my Pug and it arrived yesterday. I'll start carrying it today and give him some feedback over the next few weeks. I've got to say that not only are Ricks holsters top notch quality, he himself is a top notch individual. He appreciates his customers as much as we appreciate him and his products. Here are some pics to make the coffee just a bit more enjoyable. Have a good day my friends.

Nice lookin' holster, Smokeless. Congrats to you for owning it and to Rick for making it.
BTW, I like the way the pocket is fit in under the barrel stitching; a well-thought-out design process.

First day of carry it felt steady in the pocket. I'm sure it'll only get better as it gets broke in. Also posted a pic on an NAA page on facistbook and already had inquiries as to where I got it.

The sweat marks make it pop  ;D

Looks great. Bet it looks even better once the leather breaks in a bit.

I know it will  ;)

In the evenings I remove the pistol and work the leather a bit to loosen it up

From the photos, it looks like your Pug grip sits up further than mine?

I thought I had the height of the back piece closer to the height of the grip? Yours looks taller in the Holster?

Does the Holster need to not have as much retention? "In the evenings I remove the pistol and work the leather a bit to loosen it up"

Rick I think it might just be the angle from which I took the picture that makes mine look like it sits higher. As far as retention goes, for my needs it's not a priority. The reason I'm working the leather is to make it more flexible in my pants pocket. The one you made me has more flexibility than the one I sent you (which is a good thing) The one I originally had is a much much thinner leather.

I can do that for you Ken. The 1 5/8" is about the maximum length barrel this style would work with

Smokeless is helping work a couple of details out for the next version

OK Smokeless get those updates to Rick cause I need to get a 1 5/8 one done.  Setting up my life long best friend with an NAA for his farm and I think the new Smokeless version will work great for him!

Thanks

Looks Great!  Dummy question.  Front pocket or back?  Kinda looks like a wallet.

That's a good question. I originally wanted it for my front pocket but this particular version seems better suited for the back pocket. Easy to draw from and like you said looks like a wallet. I've spoke to Rick about using some thinner leather to make it a more comfortable fit for the front pocket. I'm very active in my job, constant movement, bending, squatting and climbing ladders and a thinner leather would be less noticeable in the pocket and more comfortable to the user. The overall design seems to be a winner but we have discussed a few mods for the front pocket use.

I have one of Rick's holsters.  Love it.  Its all I need ... ... hmmm  that back pocket holster sure looks good.  A holster that looks like a knife holder on my belt but with a mini in it would be concealed and cool ..  Zoom up the picture and check out the quality!
