Was wondering are there any 32 acp or 32 jhp that I should not be using. What is the best and correct ammo for this gun.

Uncle_Lee

With the ammo shortage, I would shoot whatever I could get my hands on.

Some of the euro ammo seems to have harder primers and will generate light strikes. Not sure if it is the ammo or my pistol though, and I don't have enough spare ammo of different brands to try and draw strong conclusions.

But I did get a few light strikes from Prvi Partizan and 1-2 from a box of Geco.

That said, my carry ammo is Hornady Critical Defense.

Although I'd lime to try that Underwood/Lehigh stuff.

Hi! Welcome to the Forum!

I've only run Hornady jhp and Federal in my .32acp Guardian with no issues.

It's good to note what works and doesn't work for each gun. Better to find out while practicing!

Dsal,
Welcome to the forum!!!

Unlike the Seecamp autos, the Guardian will pretty much shoot all types of 32 acp ammo.

I prefer the Corbon ammo but basically it is what you choose and can get.

Anyone want a 32 Guardian cheap. Fired mine once and it was so horrible that it now resides in my junk box.

Is once one session, or one bullet? I like my two just fine.......

New posters selling things is a big "BEWARE" . No response from inquiries also is a heads up , could be on the up & up , BUT .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Why would someone who considers his NAA gun junk, be even posting here?

NMroamer

First of all I don't much time on the internet. second I have three minis and like them all.  The guardian is a disappointment is that so unusual.
Never mind I am going to keep it now.

Rick_Jorgenson

Now I want to see what's in the "junk box"!!

Post your "junk" with prices and let us get this stuff out of your life!  ;)

Uncle_Lee

You can't sell it if you don't set a price.

I want to know the price.  (please)

He registered on this list in Oct 2020 and made two posts expressing his dissatisfaction with the Guardian a week later.  I believe he's for real and just unhappy with the gun for reasons he hasn't yet fully explained.  Maybe difficulty with racking the slide?

Rick,
Does that go for your items under the work bench?  What you think is a prototype gone wrong could be a win for others!

Anyone can like/dislike a particular firearm for any reason.

Different strokes for different folks...??..also, different ergonomics and/or weight.

FWIW, when I wanted a small pocket .32ACP autoloader, I bought several different pistols (including a Guardian, a Beretta Tomcat, a Kel-Tec P-32 & an Autauga Arms mark II ) before I settled on one that both fit my hand best when drawing/shooting, and weight (I wanted a lightweight gun, comparatively).

The Kel-Tec P-32 fit my needs better than the others (YMMV).

I'm interested to hear as well.

I owned an older Guardian years ago, and have regretted selling it.  I own a Seecamp, but hate the finicky ammo preferences.  Would love to get a 32 acp pistol that a) looks nice, and b) shoots whatever I feed it.

I was.

I'm in Virginia. I ordered my parts in several small bunches, as I had the thought and money for them. Every order got to me the third day, like yours. And that's first class mail, not Priority. Amazing. It couldn't be just NAA's great service, there must be some extra-efficient way the mail routes connect for us.

Your plate screws are called Cover Bolts by NAA. They are a special made part, so it doesn't hurt to have a couple.

The e-clips are a possible hardware store item. McMaster-Carr refers to them as "External Retaining Rings, also known as E-style rings" The ones on Guardians are 1/8 inch size. McMaster even has them in four different metals. They aren't practical for us, coming in large packs. The black phosphate spring steel seems to be what NAA uses, $4.34 for a hundred. I only ordered a few from NAA, to be sure of genuine NAA, LOL.(I'm sure all that detail was interesting)

https://www.mcmaster.com/e-clips/for-od~1-8/

To store my parts I got some small zip-lock bags and small labels at a craft store. Each part is bagged and labeled with name and part number. The little pile of baggies goes in a small rubbermaid type box. Cost, I try not to think I spent enough to buy another Guardian....

Grips, I'm happy with original. Hard enough to find holsters that fit with them. I use a Sticky SM-1 pocket, or a Don Hume pocket that's no longer made. On the belt is an Allen Cortez size five nylon. Tried the small auto Uncle Mike's Sidekick, but it wouldn't clear the trigger guard. The best is my Desert Gun Leather from Rick !
