Semiautomatic pistol in .22LR. Something on the Guardian/Walther TPH size frame.  I would even plunk a down payment!   Something like my .22LR TPH/LCP pistols.

Myself, and other members, have been prodding NAA to make a .22LR Guardian, for a long time. Would likely be on the 32 frame. I like my 32 Guardians for carry, but one with cheaper ammo and less recoil would be a nice range gun. Would be of value as a practice gun for the 32s and 380s. I'd buy two.

Except for the pricey TPH, close as you'll get in size is the 22 LCP.
At least people that carry the 380 LCP now have a 22 practice gun. When it came out, I was hoping NAA would follow Ruger's lead. Not yet.

We own a Ruger lcp ll and a mark iv...the lcp is finicky about ammo, the mark iv not so much... that will be an issue with just about any .22 auto, especially for anyone that doesn't test what works best...the lcp is never carried, as opposed to our shoot anything NAA .22lr...that said, we wouldn't trust a NAA auto in .22 for the same reason...

bearcatter

I'd carry a 22 if they were more dependable. They are more for cheap (for these days) fun !!

Copfish,

Closest thing I can think of is maybe the Ruger LCP in 22lr???

Walther makes the THP in 22lr but you will have better luck finding hen's teeth.

Two of those Copfish are crying for a can to be put on them . They might cost more than the gun but who cares they are ready and waiting . The best can man we have here on the forum is Rogue .

They cost a lot more than hen's teeth.

The one with three mags and a holster is the best deal. I've seen TPH mags go for $100 or even more. The others come with one mag, which isn't right. They shipped new with two. Sellers pull that crap a lot, selling the spare mags separate for bigger $$. I can't believe the number of guns I see listed with no mag! How does that happen, really?"

Most times, the guns I just bought only have one mag. I wouldn't have touched mine if they only had one. I'll be sure if another batch turns up with only one, there will suddenly be individual mags for sale.

Bearcatter,
Maybe Gunparts Corp or Triple K magazines might have what you are looking for??   Just a thought.

Thanks for the idea, but I've already looked everywhere.
Triple K says they will be 90-120 days filling my order, and their mags are iffy, some good, some not. Everyone is out of stock. Several places are set to notify me when they get any. I've got two guns and four mags, not bad, but I'd like four more. Like I did with my Guardians, I have eight total.
I knew surplus they'd be harder to get, but not this bad. You never know, in a week I may see hundreds of them.
I looked at eBay completed items, and in the two weeks before I bought the guns, there were 16 of them.

The Taurus TX22 is the closest to perfection concerning reliability.  It eats all 22lr.  It is not a pocket pistol, but only weighs 16 oz.  Comes with two 16 rd mags.  Super great 22lr.

I love my Ruger SR22 and LCP II, and my Browning Black Label Compact 22.  But the Taurus TX22 is the most reliable and has a superior trigger.  Watch some you tube videos, and you will find that my opinion is shared by many.

I think that Taurus still makes their smallest 22 a P-22 with tip up barrel. I had one years ago and never had a problem with it.

I gave it to one of my grand-daughters years ago.

I also gave my Taurus P22 Lr to one of my granddaughters a couple of years ago.  She loves it, and visits often to shoot.  Nice little gun that ran flawlessly.  However, I liked my Beretta Bobcat better.  Sold it awhile back.  No regrets.

Want a Walther TPH but don?t have the bucks? Iver Johnson made a copy of the TPH. Once you find ammo it likes, it is a reliable little 22. I just searched, and gunbroker does not have one listed.

Taurus doesn't make the metal PT-22 anymore, just the gray polymer PLY-22. It still has a tip-up barrel. It gets good reviews for the most part.

The Iver Johnson was called the TP-22. It was actually made by Erma Werke in Germany.

ADCO in Ohio does all our threading. If you remove the barrel they will do the threading. Their turn around is about 2 weeks and they are very reasonably priced. We still have to send off the 6.35mm barrel for threading.  ;D
