Some parts are out sourced, some parts are made by NAA.
All parts are assembled by NAA.
I need not dig any farther.
I'll mock if I want to.
You are out to try to cause hard feeling and it ain't needed. 8)

Yea... I love the guns ! Have a pile ! & plan on more !

I am just curious ...no biggie really. ;D

1967 - you can read Sandy's Soapbox comments from July through September, 2012. That will give you a pretty good idea about the manufacturing of NAA guns. Most of the parts do seem to be outsourced: like you say, it is common practice. Here is a link:

Perhaps you need a visit to the NAA factory! They have some state-of-the-art CNC machines that look pretty sexy. :) I'm sure a few parts are outsourced, but the majority of them, I'm sure, are produced in Provo.

A close pal is into 5 axis cnc , 3d printing of sand molds etc...really advanced stuff  in his shop, but he still isn't up to mfg a sidewinder.... Or I should say he us but not  at a reasonable price.

I hope naa makes the guns in house , let's just say they do !

Yea NAA ! Love the products !

Uncle_Lee

I'll bet you get your knowledge from the internet and "buddy's e-mails".
Kahr did make the frames for the Guardian model until NAA got theirs up and running.

Hey, um, 1967, what exactly are you smoking?

I've been to the NAA factory in Provo numerous times. I've seen their CNC machines running. I've seen their serial number machine engraving serial numbers. I've seen their techs finishing up the final work by hand and putting the finished guns in the black plastic boxes. I've seen stacks and stacks of finished and unfished parts ready to go into their minis. I even know some of the guys who work there. Are you saying they clock in when they arrive in the morning and watch soap operas all day long before heading home at the end of the day?

tocsn40

I like that can i get job whatching  soaps. ?

I have also visited the factory, they do a LOT more than fit and assemble parts

I have seen the North East corner of the building when they were developing the Break Top about 6 months before it was released.

I held the various cylinders in my hand that were being considered for the Ranger as we talked with Kenny

There is plenty of "production video" here, check it out;

1967    so if you not 100% that Naa makes the pistals dont buy one !!!   FORD MAKES CARS AND TRUCKS they get thier part in different places its still called a FORD....

cedarview kid

Great video, but I don't have time to watch it all right now. The one thing that looks different to me from when I've been there is that there aren't any employees there! LOL. It's always been packed full of people working on guns when I've been there. This must be on a weekend or some other time off hours.

I just don't understand why people would believe they don't actually produce the guns. Why would anybody think that?

Thanks for the link!

boone123

Didn't they used to come in Cracker Jacks, originally?

Or is that wrong to?

cedarview kid

I wish! That would have been awesome! If so, it was before the background check, that's for sure.

Excellent info post ! Thank you ;D

I can't say how I know or what got me to inquire deeper  but I am still thinking the guns are made elsewhere, not just a few parts.

It don't matter really because naa is the driving force behind it all & without that company
Their would be no sidewinder.

I was just curious .
From your posts, you seem to have located some interesting information, or you are just trying to stir up trouble. Since I (nor anyone else) seem to be able to tell the difference, put up or shut up. Give us some of the information you dug up, or don't start no "smelly stuff".
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

two people in this thread state that they have been to the factory while it is open and work is being done and one saw a firearm  being developed, and have seen these things with their own eyes, yet you persist in expressing the belief that the guns are shipped in from elsewhere while mysteriously alluding to information that you have but can't or won't convey. so are these two people part of a vast conspiracy centered around Provo Utah? Are they on this board to misdirect and mislead  us? Is this a pilot script for an episode of the forthcoming NAA Files?

I bet the frame castings come from a supplier, maybe that is what he is concerned about?

Dont be rude, try to think clear and stay with the discussion ,please.

All I am saying is I belive the guns are shipped from another location , can't say no more.

Dig yourself if ya want more info . I don't know where they are shipped from myself, that's why the thread start .

OK based on your advice I went digging and I was shocked, shocked at what I found. Yes there are indeed "mini-revolver" manufacturers in china.

A search of this directory of chinese manufacturers of "Mini Revolvers" reveals the depth of the conspiracy.

http://www.alibaba.com/manufacturers/mini-revolver-manufacturer.html

Who knew this and when did they know it? Is there a link to the Bengazi attack on the consulate - perhaps the terrorists were armed with chinese mini revolvers. Someone needs to question Paula Broadwell to see if she was involved and did David Petraus know about the chinese mini-revolvers? What about Jill Kelly does she own a chinese made mini-revolver? Did she carry it at her socialite parties?

You want the truth......  You can't handle the truth!!!!!!!

Nothing new here.  I collect Colt black powder reproductions made in the 1970s.  They sourced most of the raw parts from Uberti but fit and finished them in Hartford.  They are considered Colt firearms and will paper that way.   The quality is far superior to Uberti and look like Colts because they are.   I think Samuel Colt outsourced parts from Eli Whitney in his day.

OV-1D

Oh man this is getting better and better , now you got me waiting for the sequel . Stay tuned to your local broadcasting station for the latest updates on " Wheres the Miniman " ?

I own a bunch of NAA guns, and neither I or the guns care where their parts came from. Doesn't matter as long as what I buy goes bang when it should.

Set back relax.
