Well, the SHOT show in Vegas is half gone, two more days. Do we suppose NAA had nothing new to show? No upcoming news?
No mention on the forum, the NAA website, or the Soapbox. Nothing Googled.

"Shooting, Hunting, and Outdoor Trade show" is the big one for firearm and accessories manufacturers.

Yea your right, Seems Sandy isn't much interested in the forum anymore. Maybe loosing interest in NAA as well.

bearcatter

I just wonder if they had a booth showing what they do have. At least Jessica's posts on the laser sights were upbeat.

I realize too, the niche market for NAA. There's only so much you can do new with a pocket size SA rimfire or black powder. The Guardian, they could do a .22LR. I think it could compete with the 22 LCP.

The NAA booth looked rather busy to me! All of the NAA'ers probably have too much to do to get online. Maybe after the show we'll hear more from them.

In any case, I had a good chat with Sandy and Dustin in the booth. I didn't recognize anything new in the display cabinet, but to be honest, I was more involved in chatting than I was in looking around. But I had a good time in the NAA booth and the SHOW Show in general. My body doesn't last nearly as long as it used, though, but I still got around to see most of what I wanted to see.

I've been to SHOT somewhere between a dozen and 15 times and this one, even with COVID, was the BIGGEST one ever! I'm not sure about attendance, but the show floor and the number of exhibiters haven't been bigger. There were a few missing companies, tho, like Colt and Chiappa, which had booth space, but signs up that they couldn't make it.

Anyway, here's a shot of me in the booth. Too bad everybody couldn't have been here.

Here's a wider shot of the booth, which includes the cabinet. You can check out for yourselves what you can find in there! I did see a new buckle that I've never seen before, but I don't know if it's new or a third-party creation.

I told you Sandy was really busy--he looks awfully tired in this shot! I've also got a bad case of mask-beard (like bed-head, but from a face mask). Masks are required for attendees, but we went rogue for this photo.

Thanks for that report! Nice to see NAA is still out there being as normal as possible. There's always people that have never seen some of the offerings. Why is Mr.22 wearing a 7.62 shirt? ...   ::)

Oh, I'm just disguised as a Russian spam can of Mosin Nagant ammo, that's all! Spam, spam, SPAM SPAM! I'm also just holding out hope for an NAA chambered in 7.62x54R. It could happen, right?!  ::)  ::)

Last time I saw Sandy was at the 2009 NRA convention. I seem to recall he looked a LOT thinner then, I would have walked right by him & not recognized him but of course I look a lot older now too. How do one get to go to the SHOT Show?

Hey look!! A moment when I was actually in the booth! HAHA (hiding in the back... I hate those shots LOL, j/k). SHOT was, I think a lot better than most expected.  While it (I) was really busy, it wasn't shoulder to shoulder. I had the pleasure of joining Mark @ Armed American Radio for a good hour, something I wouldn't have normally had the opportunity to do. While we weren't there with anything new, we were able to achieve some great networking and developed some great relationships. Unfortunately, SHOT isn't open to the public, I believe you either need to  be in the industry somehow or qualified media to attend.

Overall SHOT was successful and it was great to be back at it again!

bearcatter

You should have been in the front. You are a LOT better looking than those three guys ...  ;)

I knew you'd be along with a summary of NAA's SHOT trip. Glad it went well, and everyone safe.

Yeah, it was a great show, although I didn't get around as much as I wanted to. The body wasn't cooperating well this year.

Anyway, I'm so sorry I didn't come over and say HI, Jessica! I don't know what was wrong me with! Brain dead that day, I guess, ROFL.

I hope you do realize Sandy still owns NAA, or at minimum, a chunk of it. My guess is he still reads the forum. I would personally like to see him post once in a while.

A Soapbox or forum post doesn't take that long to do. That would help me feel more positive about NAA's present and future.

You would be surprised at how long it takes to write something to publish. We "blast" things here and there on the Forum but something that requires thought and research can take some time.

Some of the posts (on the Forum) I make that have information and/or facts (or some might say, fiction  ;)) take an hour.

I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer but, when writing something that has substance and information, it needs to be correct and  accurate so the audience will know what you're trying to convey.

Feel positive about a company that cannot keep up with orders (like NAA)

NAA at SHOT was a positive thing, but not real news. Not being able to keep up with orders could be for good reasons, or not so good reasons. Nobody is looking for a post to win a Pulitzer Prize, just a few basic sentences about how things are going. Politics, China flu, and supply chain issues are affecting everything.

Check out grayelkys two posts, #14 and #18.
Both say basically the same thing, just worded
different. I?m not pointing that out.
Now check out the time posted.

Just sayin he's not doing soap boxes and he doesn't post here, and just because he owns the company doesn't mean he's not loosing interest. Like people have said theres a lot going on in the world and a lot of it affects us, gun owners, buyers, and 2nd amendment Issues. A guy could write endless soap boxes on the issues. But hey maybe he's just to busy. who knows.

If I owned this company and lost customers because of a post I wrote I would think twice about posting any more. I don't think his absence is related to losing interest. It's more likely related to losing customers.
It goes under the heading of "Closed mouths gather no feet."

You do have a job Uncle_Lee!  Keeping everyone on the NAA Forum "in line" posting photos and being polite  ;)

It's a big job and you do it well. We all mind our "P's & Q's" (most of the time  ;))

Retired and widowed with no kids sucks. Just me and the dog for days on end. He listens well, but not much on talking back. Looking after him is really the only reason I have to get up every day. I sleep terrible anyway. My two forums help a lot; thanks guys!

For the last 2 years I have been pretty well house bound. (That is getting better now. I drove to the gun shop 5 times by myself last week.)
Just picture yourself not talking to anyone - anyone - anyone but your spouse.
We have ran out of things to talk about.  We have started to argue and bicker.
