My new boot grips just came in the mail this morning! I can't wait to make it out to the range now, I'm hoping tomorrow afternoon. You can't really tell from the pictures but the boot grips really do make it easier to hold onto...they add quite a bit of extra grip. I was even able to fast draw and (dry) fire one handed from my IWB holster. I highly recommend these to anyone thinking about getting em. Thanks again Jessica if you see this!!!!

NAA out done themselves with these beautiful boot grips makes any model stand out and shout . Another fine looking gun . :)

Very pretty grips.  Congratulations, you win.

I can?t tell by looking, do these grips give you as much hand hold as the oversized black NAA grips on the BW?  They sure win the beauty contest.

I'm not exactly sure because I've never actually handled a black widow myself but I do know they're much better than the standard ones. My mini is a 22lr but they make the same grips for the magnum frame too so I'm sure the magnum ones are bigger than the lr ones. Google NAA black widow grips and go to images...you'll see a picture of a black widow with the same grips and it looks beautiful. It really looks like a mini Python and I love Pythons. I think the picture I'm talking about was sourced from here actually but I don't know which thread.

The NAA Boot Grips for Long Rifle/Short and the set sized for Magnum Frame Guns have much more hand holding area then the Birds-head style.  :o

And the NAA engraved set's are very nice looking  :)

The sets I've changed from "stock" grips to aftermarket have been with grips from Revision CV  http://www.revisioncv.com

They cost more but they add some length to the bottom of the frame allowing some additional finger gripping even on the Long Rifle and Short.

+1 on the CVang grips. On my Black Widow I tried the BW secret service grips, birds head grips, and boot grips before I settled on CVang. They checked every box for me, comfort, concealability, and purchase. Some opinions  may differ, though.

After trying every grip that I could find, I went with Cvang.
My biggest problem with the other grips is that my middle finger would get behind the trigger and the trigger would mash into my finger. That not only hurt my finger but made the trigger pull about 20 pounds.
The Secret Service and Mini Master style grips did good. I just like the looks of the Cvang more.

I already have those beautiful pictures in my "Beautiful Holster" file.
I enjoyed looking at them again.

I like the looks of the boot grip and if the CV grip didn't have that weird unnecessary section that covers the text on the side (the text is meant to be seen), I would give them a try.

Here is an edited pic of what I would prefer:

I am not trying to be a wise a55, but buy a set and cut off the piece you don't like.
They do not fit the Sidewinder but with a half round file, I made them fit perfectly.

We agree with DS10Speed. If it was not for that little section just behind the cylinder they would be great. Hence we use the Secret Service Grips only.  :)

I'm hoping to find a "Short" mini someday and I think I will get that same grip for it.

I'm with ya on the Cvangs I never really liked the look of em myself. There is someone out there who makes these black extended grips they look close to modern revolver grips but I couldn't find alot of info on em and they're expensive...I'll try to find a pic

When you get that "Short" Dave you will appreciate the CVang Grips  :)

The CVang Grips work perfect on the Short.  With the stock grips they are pretty tough to hang on to when shooting  :o

I do agree that those grips would really help with holding these little guns but it's not the look I want for my mini's, they don't seem to fit the era of the gun design. Mine are more conversation/collector pieces than shooters so it is important for me to keep the original "like new" quality intact. I had a laser grip on my ported mini for a while then I decided to put the original grip back on. I found that the side of gun was scratched up under the spot where the laser was, it was from gun powder and grit from just shooting it. I would be willing to bet all CV grips will do the same thing.

The boot grip the OP shows would keep the gun small, give a little more to hold and still fit the era of design.

Is that a S&W 66? That LCR is nice too btw

shanep0017

These are the ones I was talking about...if I was going to get aftermarket grips I'd take these over the Cvangs forsure.

That's a newer 8 shot model 63.

Nice! It really adds to the look of the Ranger too...I really want to get a black widow eventually and put the same grips on it. Unfortunately the bw is like number 3 on the next gun I want to buy list so that probably won't happen for a long time. But yeah they definitely make handling alot easier, it really makes shooting one handed alot better too. My mini wearing boots is actually my EDC lol

PA Patriot

I really like the look of those boot grips.  I bought some for my 22 mag with the 1 5/8 inch and they are awesome to hold on to but for me it gets in the way of better concealment.  I'm back to the original which also dont seem optimal!
