I don't remember if I've posted this somewhere else, sorry if I have. bearcatter asked to see my NP3 coated .32acp Guardian

The coating has "self lubricity" qualities...

NP3 is a surface treatment for various metals and alloys that combines sub-micron particles of PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) with autocatalytically applied nickel/phosphorus. The result is an accurately applied, dry lubricated, low friction surface that is extremely hard and resistant to wear.
The PTFE is evenly distributed throughout and locked into the nickel phosphorus matrix creating a true and stable composite. As wear occurs fresh particles of PTFE are exposed to keep the surface lubricated. This lubrication is available as long as the integrity of the coating is intact.

The results after having it done have allowed it to run "smoother".  I didn't have any shooting failures before having it done (or after) but it does feel like it runs smoother. (I'm not a professional or expert shooter)

The entire gun needs to be disassembled for the process (including the mags.) So all inner surfaces are done as well.

It cleans up just by wiping off with a soft cloth. You can use gun cleaning solvent if you want but do not soak it for prolonged period (hours or over night) there is no need to.

My Black Widow Cylinder, Hammer, Trigger is NP3 coated as well. There are no signs of wear after 4 years
(The matte black is Roguard matte black done by CTI as well)

Rick; you did post it quite some time ago but ever so nice to see her again. She is beautiful.

I expected more difference, it's just more glossy.

I searched "NP3" and found only a few posts, no Guardian photos (?). That's why I asked about one.
