Had a 5 min shooting session with my 2.5? Sidewinder.  Really really like the Sidewinder.
8 shots with 22lr, and 2 shots with 22 shotshell.  All from 7 yards.
I?m glad I wore safety glasses and hoodie,  as the 1st shot shell mostly came back in my face.  The 2nd one shot fine.  This is not the first time. The SS bounces off the wood, which to me, is surprising.
This doesn?t happen with my 4.5? barreled Heritage Arms revolver.

Anyways, here is a photo of the target.

I won?t be buying this brand of targets again.  Least little scratch on the black, and yellow appears.  Only got about a dozen left.

That's good shootin'. Why only 5 minutes? Being extra stingy with ammo? Ten shots is barely worth cleaning after.

Thank you.  Good question.

When I walked down to my mini range, I packed along 5 guns and shot all five.
Sidewinder
Ruger SR22
Heritage Arms 22lr
Browning Black Label 22 Compact
Keystone Arms 410 pump.

I don?t clean my guns after shooting every time.  I wipe them down, but I don?t disassemble for a thorough cleaning.

When I say I had a 5 min range session, that was with the Sidewinder.  The 410 pump lasted approx 20 seconds (4 shots).  I shot 4 mags with the Browning,  3 with the SR22, and 9  22 magnums through the 9 shot Heritage.

Never had a misfire.  I count that as a victory.

When I go to my Forest Service range, it's a forty minute drive each way, so I make it worth the trip. Usually not busy, so I stay about 2 hours, sometimes more. Two or three guns, at least 200 rounds. Sad though, I haven't went in over a year.

It would be wonderful to have a backyard range!

Bearcatter, I also wish you had a range.  I know I appreciate having one.  My family and a couple of friends utilize it, too.

Now when I say mini range, that?s what I mean.  Just some wood stacked standing up thickly, up against my brick boat house.   Sometimes, when not shooting for accuracy, we just shoot into the water.   We never ever shoot in the water, or at targets, if there are any boaters in sight, even one.
Many times, like when it?s raining, I just go on my back patio, toss a coffee can or such, out into the yard and fire away.  I could never see myself living in town, or anywhere close, I?d go stir crazy.

My basement is about forty feet long. I'd be tempted to do 22s, but it's very illegal. I'd be "shooting in an occupied dwelling" even though it's me and my dwelling! I could legally do BB guns, but that's just not the same.
