I got an NAA revolver from a friend, who got it from a friend, who got...you get the idea. It came to me incomplete, so I ordered everything needed. Unfortunately, I can't get it to cock back all the way without locking up. It's ok in the half-cocked position, but if I take it back further I can feel something click inside and it's stuck there until I take it apart. By the time I have it apart, I can't tell what was causing the problem. I replaced the LR HAND AFT because of a nick in the groove and it was missing the Hand Spring, Index Spring and Index Pin. I've had to replace the darn hand spring after it went flying across the garage  ;D I have noticed the cylinder bolt is kind of sloppy...not sure if that has anything to do with it. If I had to guess it's more like the main spring or the hammer that's giving me issues. Has anyone seen this issue and resolved it?

If nothing else, I'm getting pretty good at disassembly and reassembly.

Thank you for your time

Welcome wtf. Any reason why you wouldn?t want to send it to NAA for a once over? They will put it back in tip top shape under warranty.

Welcome WTF.
(good name)

Sounds to me like the cylinder bolt is locking up too soon.
Also, the bolt is coming up before the hammer gets to full cock.

Sounds like you don't have the mainspring in the proper place on the hammer.

I have a neighbor who had a problem like yours. He changed the grips, and a small pin, part#8 on the parts diagram (item 1404 Trigger pin) fell out and got lost. He ordered another one and I put it in. Problem solved. The pin is loose in the hole however. If yours is gone and is also a loose fit, put some scotch tape over it on both sides. I don't think it will interfere with the grips

Send it in to NAA!
I bought a 1 5/8" Magnum from a LGS and it was tagged PARTS ONLY, not working.
The cylinder pin would not stay in and anytime it was fired it would move out of position.

I sent it back to NAA, had them repair it and also while there had the LR cylinder added and factory fitted.
They replaced just about everything inside that little revolver all under warranty!  GREAT SERVICE and warranty!

I have had them fit several other NAA's with the 22LR cylinders and the turn around time is fairly quick.

Thanks for all the replies, folks. I can't send it in...let's just say everything isn't there

I'll check to see that I'm not missing any other pieces. If nothing else, it'll make a nice paperweight. I'll also take some pictures of the springs to see if I've installed it correctly. I'm pretty sure it is, but after all this trouble I'm not ruling anything out.

Here's a look at what's going on with this little pistol. Not really knowing what's happening, so I took a video of me cocking it. Definitely feels like something slips out of place, but I can't see where it would be doing that. After that, the hammer falls only slightly as shown in the video and stops. I can't even force the hammer down until I remove the screw.

It took a very long time for the videos to link. I'm sure it's because I'm a newer member. If y'all can check them out and see just what's going on, I'd sure appreciate it.

That trigger looks out of place. See how it moves toward the rear as you cock the gun? That's backwards--it should move forward as the hammer is pulled back.
