Black Powder pistol build

I was reading Old & Grumpy's post about his Colonial pistol build and it reminded me of this pistol that my grandson made when he was 14 or 15 years old.
No fooling, he actually built this himself including the barrel.
Its not rifled but its an amazing accomplishment for someone his age.
The only thing he didn't make himself was the hammer.

I like the "Patina" finish!

Very accomplished finished build for anyone, especially for a 15 year old!

I'm trying to get my Grandson to go to Gunsmith School, I could keep him busy with people coming into my shop looking for one!

I told him I would buy him a TIG Welder, Lathe, and Mill if he goes into the business.

He's working at Safeway and "thinking about it".... I want to strangle him sometimes! lol!!

Anything beats Safeway, but you could be steering him the wrong way. He may be destined to be the President some day .....on second thought, stick to the gunsmithing....
