Never forget this day in history.  The day time stood still.

I was on vacation in the Outer Banks. Flipped on the TV for weather, and saw the towers smoking. We skipped going to breakfast that day.

It's our 40th wedding anniversary, I better not forget!

I'll Never forget! I flew to New Orleans on 9/10 for a big convention that was to start on 9/11. Many of those planning to attend were on those flights that were destroyed. A sad day to remember. The convention was cancelled of course as were all future flights. I tried to rent a car but all were taken so I took a bus to Dallas then another to OKC then was able to rent a 4 wheel drive Jeep (only vehicle available) to Wichita.
When I got home my wife was almost hysterical thinking the USA was in jeopardy.
She was so scared she had my 12 gauge Mossberg loaded and set by the door!
Even after that she had me keep my Colt Anaconda holstered and hanging on the bedpost for quite a spell.
You may not need it but should have it.

I know it was rough being stranded away from home. At least it sounds like you were able to call her. I seem to remember that even phone lines were jammed for a while?

I also will never forget 9/11/2001.

And on 9/11/2021 a 9/11/2022 I have remembered that the terrorists of 9/11/2001 did not do even a tiny fraction of the damage to our Constitutional Republic that the demokkkrats and the illegitimate regime they brought to power on 11/03/2020 through a fraudulent election in collusion with the left stream press that covers the crimes of joe bananas, his son, and others of his wretched family.

I have never seen, before or since, so many contrails in the sky as the day President Bush closed the skies. In southeast Washington State, the sky looked like a spiderweb.

I had gone down stairs in my building and the directer ask me to help him spread the new that had just happened to other teachers and instructors.  I went back upstairs knocking on every door announcing in every classroom, we did not have TV in each classroom so jery rigged a rabbit ear setup on the monitor I had in my classroom and it started to fill up with other students and instructors and were watching when the second tower was hit.  That was the only classwork that got done that day.  BTW I was a department head and instructor in a community college in Springfield MO. That is the Pearl Harbor for the younger generation
