After living for around 6 months without a NAA Mini, I am back again.

Today, I ordered from Bud?s, the very smallest 22lr.  Not as small as the 22 short, but tiny.   I always told myself, the next time I pull the trigger, it would be this one.  I was tempted by the 22S, but it dawned on me I can still shoot 22S and 22lr.

In the past I?ve owned the BW, a Pug, and the Sidewinder.  This time i believe I know more what I want, and why.

Cheers!!

bearcatter

Congratulations. I think just 22 short would have made you less happy with availability. In my area at least, I'm seeing little Short, but a decent amount of LR.
Keep us posted !

Terry,
Six months w/o  a mini??  Wow!

Glad that you were able to get another one. Let us know how things work out when you get it.

I?ve got around 250 rds of 22S and plenty of Lr.  So, no apparent problem with ammo.

I sold the Pug, and gifted the Sidewinder and BW to twin granddaughters.  I am very weak when negotiating a deal with them.  They were both traveling 40 miles, 4 days a week, to nursing school.  They are both pretty good shooters.

Hopefully,  I can hang on to this one.

A Mini-withdrawal is an issue to be feared - I'm glad you survived...  ;)

Thanks.  I?ll be happy to take delivery.

How was it decided who got which? They didn't want the Pug?

I gave the BW to the GD who was here shooting with me.  She loved it.  A couple of weeks later, while they both were here, I asked the gun-less GD if she would want one.  She said yes, and let?s go shoot it.  She actually shot the Sidewinder, and a Ruger LCP II Lite rack 22lr.  She liked both, but the Sidewinder won.

I sold the Pug to a friend sometime there about?s.  My favorite of the three was the BW.  This time I decided to go with the smaller mini.  I believe it will be with me a lot more than the others, due to size.  No oversized grip for this tiny gun.  I think it will be a great standalone gun for peculiar situations of how I?m dressed and also as a companion to others, like my Glock 42 (380).

Terry,
Do your Grand-daughters pack the minis to and from the nursing home??

Never can tell what problems may pop up during the travels to and from at various hours.

Actually happened:  I was entertaining at an assisted living home, when right in the middle of a song, I was attacked by a resident.  She kept shouting, ?you are here to kill me, I know you are.?  I was trying to keep her off me, all the while with a ukulele around my waist, and a harmonica and harp holder around my neck.  She literally went crazy right then and there.  The activities director and a male nurse restrained her, and took her to her room.  I kept on playing.  She died a couple of weeks later.   The sad thing is, I knew her daughter and her husband.  Sad sad sad.

No gun needed.

Yes they do carry.  They both have a license to carry.  One also works part time at our hospital emergency room, and the other as a  part time server.  They are not concerned about danger while on the job, but,  going to their cars at night.  They also carry pepper spray and a knife.  While we all love living here, nonetheless, it?s a very unsafe city.  Demographics.

Terrytreefish,
I am glad to see that they have their minis with them as well as OC spray and a knife.  I have a feeling that you trained them??????

Now,that incident at the assisted living home.......................I would have loved to see that. Probably was the highlight of the show?????!!!!!

My girls are tall,  Athletic and strong, and absolutely gorgeous.  I take some of the credit, but their dad and super older brother contributed greatly.  It?s all about family.

Yeah, that was quite the spectacle, at the ALH.  I experienced many good stories, but that is one of the best.

The neat thing about the .22s is it disappears into the watch pocket of a pair of blue jeans.

Theysay,
I will add....and pretty much anywhere else.

The  beauty of those minis is that they can be with you always.

Took delivery today.  I shot five 22s, as soon as I got home.  Shoots nice, real nice.  While I can get by with the factory grip, would sure be nice to have one a little larger.  I would appreciate some suggestions.  I believe the oversized BW grips wouldn?t fit, and if it did, it would take away the smallness of this little gun.  Gotta be a next size up.

I put the NAA boot grips on my 22lr. Helped a ton. The bottom of the grip is flat, and it rested on my pibky. Made the little guy quite shootable, for me anyway.

Thank you for the suggestion.

Bearcatter, those sure are pretty.  I think I would like rubber.  I don?t know.

What about the Hogue Rubber slip on grips?  On sale for $14.

Or the screw on rubber grips?  Appears larger.

Terry,
The above suggestions sound great but they will increase the size substantially.

When I first got mine,I had a bit of a problem adapting to the small size but I practiced a little more with it and it seemed to work better for me.

The boot grips, a little fatter and longer. These would be my choice if I ever get a mini.....The Sheriff comes with them... :)

Might be what I do.  But for $14,  might give the slip on a shot.

I goofed up, I've been posting magnum grips, and you got an LR. No disaster, all the grips I posted are available for LR.

These are the LR boot grips

In LR you can get smooth boot grips too, a little cheaper

I tried to down load the pictures but I already have them.
That is OK.
I eased down a half a cup of coffee going over them again.
Now that I have lost a bunch of weight, there is a little less hang over. Who knows?
