I have NO IDEA how this happened.  ::)

There I was, minding my own business,  and suddenly I realized that a used NAA Magnum convertible with the 1 5/8" barrel was following me home.

Now a new 3" Earl is on its way to my FFL.

And my wife is trying to decide which model she wants...

I don't know what kind of mind control mojo you people have, but you should be using your powers for good!

Oh and by the way, greetings from the best state in the Union (the East Valley of the Phoenix metro area, to be specific).

Welcome !  You sound like a perfect fit here, with the Mini Flu. I have some sort of immunity, no minis, but I have two Guardians in .32.
We have a resident leather holster craftsman who is located in the Phoenix area. You'll see his amazing mini holsters, and others, scattered around the forum. Various designs and colors.

Welcome, XMedic24.   You may be sick.

Xmedic24

Thanks for the warm welcome, but you realize you are not helping with the illness (which you caused).  😄

I've been lurking here for a while, of course.

Apparently I don't know how to post a picture,  since it's upside-down.  I got the two pocket holsters for this mini, but then realized I need two pistols to balance them out.

I'm doomed.

Xmed,
First welcome to the forum.   A lot of fine folks here!!!!

I keep on telling folks this but those minis have a way of "multiplying" Get one and the POOF there are more.

And..................if you store them in shoe boxes like Uncle Lee does (and drink lots of coffee) they tend to "multiply" faster.

Let us know how things work out with your wife's choices.

I never have figured out how to get them to come out right!

When you click on the photos they expand in the correct orientation.  :o

Is there an easier way to do photos? Website photos I right click on "Save image link" and I have to put the link in IMG brackets. Then they're usually too big. So I hit Modify to go back to the link URL and change the sizes. 400 pixels is usually just right. Attachment photos I still have to resize in the URL. PITA, I have to use a calculator to be sure height and width stay the same percentage. You'll notice that most of my photos don't fill the window.

In two of my other forums Copy and Paste works, and I just have to drag corners to whatever size I want. Attachments just require the same corner drag..... 8)

After I put the photos in my computer, I have to email them to myself. I can resize them at that time. Then I have to drag the photo to the desktop. From there I have to drag it to the attachment box. Only for this forum do I have to go through this. A royal PIA.

bearcatter

This forum is an older platform. The other two I mentioned are Ruger and Gunner, easier to operate, especially photos. They are the Fora platform. One thing I don't like is that you can't remove a post, just edit what it says. Sometimes if I want one gone, I just replace what I wrote with DELETED.

I'm already eyeing the 6" Hogleg as a belt carry piece for camping and general outdoor fun (I'm a sucker for that Remington vibe) and a Ranger II because I love top-breaks.  I don't need more encouragement!   :o

I had to email the photo to myself and tell Outlook to resize it before I could attach it.   ::)  PITA indeed.   >:(

So RogueTS1, what I hear you saying is that the forum software DOES recognize the correct orientation for the photo, it just chooses not to use it.  Have I got that right?

I still have to figure out how to read those bizzare verification letters...

Xmedic,
By now you have seen what you have gotten yourself into by signing up in this forum and are wondering now how do I get out???

First off,you are in it for the duration, you have been bitten by the bug and the only real cure is to dive in full force. Kind of lessens the impact.....................somewhat.

Don't worry,we are here to "help" you with your next of many choices.

I use it a lot here. This site doesn't give you even 5 seconds to fix a typo before it shows being edited. I think that junks up the reply. So I fix it, copy it, remove it, and paste it fresh.

Welcome.

I used to think that I'd be happy with just a 3" Earl. Then I thought it would look good next to a 4". Then one of the forum enablers enticed me with 6" Hoglegs. And how better to balance the silly long barrel of the Hogleg than with a silly short-barreled Short?

We're just here to help.

top dog

Tinhorn,
Sounds to me like you have it BAD!!!  Which is good thing!!!

Hahaha--I not only picked up my brace of Shorts today, but met another seller of a Black Widow at the same shop. The BW is for the missus, you understand.

One should be able to post photos that are sized to the Forum limits by simply clicking on the "Attachments and other options" tab below. Then simply find your photo and click on it and then click open. It will be saved and then posted in your reply. If it is too large then you will get a notification telling you so. There should be no inserting of links etc.

Tinhorn,
BW for the Missus?? Yeah,sure,uh-huh. Just what the little lady wants.

If it really is for her, that is a great choice.

My lovely bride loves her BW! She (we) are anxiously awaiting the arrival of her Desert Gun Leather IWB holster in black with purple thread.

Welcome Xmedic24!!

You have the "Sickness" lol!! Trust me, I'm a Doctor enabler  ;)

It's usually best to purchase more  8)
(you should seriously look at the Ranger, I prefer the 2 1/2" and the 4" but, you should get all three barrel lengths!)  :o

After "acquiring" a Black Widow you will need a Mini Master (4"Barrel) and as long as you have those two you might as well get a Pug (1" Barrel)

Then, because they all look so good together you should get a "Short" because they are so dang "cute" and as long as you are looking to "round out" the collection you might as well look for both "Long Rifle" guns (1 1/8" & 1 5/8" Barrels)

If you have any questions about how to carry these little guns there are several people here on the Forum that carry these guns every day and quite a few photos posted of different carry methods.  :)
(I carry at least two sometimes more EDC)

Welcome to the Asylum Forum!

tHE MISSUS huh yea thats your story and your stickin to it  ::)

tinhorn

Yyyyyyuuuup. It's for the missus. Of course, it was a used revolver so I probably should take it to the range to wring it out before handing it off to her. "My" NAAs require faux loading levers. Unless it's a Short. "Cute pew-pews" (her words, not mine) are kind of a special category.

The residents of an asylum probably think alike or near so.
