So my mind goes off on these weird tangents sometimes...

I got this new-to-me convertible mini and bought a couple of pocket holsters for it.  One of them is this ComfortTac pocket holster (I hope using brand names is OK in the forum) from Amazon for small semi-auto pistols (the description mentions that it fits the NAA Guardian, among others), which cost less than ten bucks.

That's not the weird part, though.

I deliberately sought out holsters that are too big for the mini so I can carry the spare cylinder together with the pistol.  I saw the pocket holsters that have a separate pouch with room for five or ten spare rounds and it gave me this idea.

The magnum cylinder is installed, and the LR cylinder is in the mesh sleeve loaded with Federal Punch rounds. I figured that would be the fastest way to reload if needed (OK, the fastest reload is another gun, but this is already my backup piece) in addition to giving me the capability to use short, long, LR, and magnum rounds if/as needed.  Both the pistol and the spare cylinder fit in the holster.

The mesh plastic sleeve keeps the spare cylinder separated so it doesn't hit the pistol's frame or gall against it.  It also does a very good job of keeping the .22 LR rounds secure in the spare cylinder.

That's not the weird part either.

This is the weird part:  Years ago, I read Serpico by Peter Maas.  In it, Maas described how Frank Serpico, while working undercover, carried a .25 ACP pistol in his underwear.  Looking at this ComfortTac pocket holster brought that to mind, as it appears to be the same size and shape as the pouch in the front of my briefs, although it isn't advertised that way.

As it turns out, it is a PERFECT fit.  My wife was not best pleased with this discovery, although I don't think it is any more dangerous than ThunderWear or AIWB carry (I've carried in an AIWB holster on occasion, and I have a ThunderWear-type holster, although I don't find either very comfortable).  I don't think this would be a comfortable carry method either.

This is not going to be a regular carry method (the mini will continue to ride in my pocket), although I like having options when it comes to really deep concealment.

I never knew that's what that pouch was for.  LOL.

Weird, huh?
This sentense contains threee errors.

Well, I'm already a deplorable, might as well go for broke and be an election denier too...

i like carrying a spare cylinder as a reload in the same pocket holster as the gun. That would be the fastest reload for me. Its not feasible though with the Ranger breaktop though which is what i have been carrying lately. i wouldnt carry the extra cylinder for the other models i have unless it was a separate pouch on the same holster as the gun. i definitely wont be putting the gun or the extra cylinder in my underwear.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

I was told by an old NYPD relative that the fastest reload was another gun?. When I was in uniform, I had a small pocket sewn in my vest at the rear collar so I could retrieve my NAA.  Jimmy also told me any gun was better than no gun.  He also carried a Mini, but his was a Freedom Arms.  I?ll bet his kids have it in his box of copcrap.
