Leather Cylinder Sleeves

This is my version of Barrytheprof's cylinder storage sleeve.

He made his with thinner, flexible leather, being the "over achiever" I've been accused of  ;) I used the veg-tan I use for Holsters thinned down about 1/3rd.

After Barrytheprof posted his I made one and used a soft chap leather (similar to his) and it wasn't to bad to build.

The client wanted 2 of them for his 2 NAA's and marked so he could tell them apart. (correct cylinder for each gun)

I felt they would be "better" if "wet molded" to retain the shape.  :o

This was not an easy build! I won't be making these again! lol!

For doing them in Veg-Tan the pattern would need a little further adjustments due to it shrinking when wet molded.

They are "functional" but not great. (the client was not charged for them)

Questions, Comments, Constructive Criticism are always welcome!  Thanks for looking!

Just have a gun for every cylinder you own and no need for selves, problem solved    ;D ::)

Very nice work.
It doesn't matter what shape the leather is in.
It still retains the color and smell. :)

Rick your ready for brain surgery after working on that small stuff .  ;) ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

I looked at it like a challenge!  ;)

Some would say I should be smart enough to know when to turn a challenge down! lol!!

I may need to give them a try again with the changes I made to the pattern.

I think they turned out great, and are working perfectly. Exactly what I was expecting.

Like the rest of your work, they look great!
Guns are a lot like parachutes:
