Shhhhhhhh... a secret I guess............  or maybe one of those "if you have to ask, you can't afford it".

Is there a lot of this on this board?

I am new here, but been reading the old posts and there are a few disturbing trends

coinchop

Newguy>

Did you ever notice how trends come and go,

but never seem to completely disappear. They

seem to reappear quite often with a twist...

And sometimes that ain't all bad.

newguy

I will have to go with your extensive experience and agree with you...................  thanks

Uncle_Lee

Maybe I should send a blank check and know what the cost was when it cleared the bank?

I would have to know the price first so I would know if I would even consider taking my time to contact someone about something.

And, I don't use the phone. Too much unprotected shooting in my youth distroyed my hearing.

I know the e-mail address it there, I checked.

I just wanted to know the price.

   Now I don't.

It's like----We have to pass it before we know whats in the bill.

You have to buy it before you know how much it is.

redhawk4

That is a little personal peeve of mine, when people don't post prices on things they sell.

It's not a case of whether I can aford something, it's about if it's a good deal or not. Many people over price things by massive amounts. I find it an uncomfortable experience when I have to ask how much and they respond with some outrageous amount, because I don't know what to say, I'm usually too polite to say you must be friggin joking, but that's the only thing that comes to mind - so there's usually an embarassing silence.

I buy a lot of things in the course of my work and travels and it seems no advertised price more than often equates to them wanting way too much. For sellers my advice is always to display a price because most often now if I see something for sale and no price, I move right on.

Not judging the OP, but the post is a little cryptic.

I agree.    When I go to a gun show, I see something I'm interested in, but if it doesn't have a price on it, I move on! I don't want to have to ask!!

cedarview kid

I'm with you, Bud. If something isn't marked, it takes time to find out the price. Unless I'm really interested in the item and I can't find it elsewhere, I'll LOOK elsewhere.

I've been looking for a car for my son for college. I've driven by a few of the used car dealers and the ones that don't have the price on the windshield, I don't even bother getting out. Wastes my time.

quickdraw

maybe you should match the caliber to dollar amount.  I will give you $380 for it.  Did I solve the puzzle?

cedarview kid

I wanna buy some 22's using your rule!

woodchuckssuck

Aren't 900 numbers toll charges? I sure wouldn't call it...

cedarview kid

I believe that's just 900, not 910, which, from Wikipedia, appears to be from southeastern North Carolina.

gunfitrip

I figure he may just want the price to be known between the two.  I know .380 Seecamps are high. I've got a .32 and they are nice but a .380 is going to be higher than I want to spend on a pocket pistol. I'd buy a BT first

cedarview kid

That's likely, Gunfitrip. That way they can avoid the "that price is outrageous!" arguments from people not involved in the sale. (I KNOW the price of Seecamp .380s is high and I would never pay that, but I know some people would.)

westerly1965

If you gonna buy a Seecamp .380 why not just do it right and buy the Guardian?

petergunn

Westerly1965, because the Seecamp is a far superior  weapon. IMHO

I've owned both. Guardian feels less ergonomic to my hands. Trigger is better on Seecamp.

Seecamp gets the nod on point shooting friendly, also

redhawk4

A Guardian 380 in your pocket is worth two Seecamps on backorder (at twice the price) IMO

I am new here, but been reading for a time.  You guys need to watch out on this thread picking on the guy with the gun for sale.  He may be connected to the top and get you all in trouble if you upset him and he complains........ it looks like that happens sometimes.........

cedarview kid

redhawk4

Oh Newguy, you're getting into the realms of fantasy there . . . that could never happen . . . . Oh wait a minute it just did

Peter I to have fired both.  Is the Seecamp a superior weapon?  It had better be for twice the money!!!!!  IMHO the Guardian is as good a weapon for half the money so that's what I carry that's all I'm sayin.   Trigger on the seecamp is a little lighter yea but the heavy pull doesn't bother me.  I found there to be very little difference in accuracy....though there is a bit its not worth the 500 bucks for a "point and shoot" gun...

Uncle_Lee

I didn't want one to carry. I wanted to know about it because I don't have one yet.

   I already have a Guardian.

The people who carry the $200 gun will tell you it works just fine and the $400 gun has really no "functional" benefit.  The $400 gun owners will apply this same logic when comparing to the $800 gun.

They are pocket pistols.  None of them are intended to shoot targets 50 yards away.  Buy the one you like for whatever reason (vanity can be a good enough reason) and be happy.

LOL well said Lohman....

heyjoe

i have 4 seecamps. a .25, .32 and two .380's

they are all very nice guns, no break ins, no problems out of the box, long but smooth trigger pull.

i also have a .32 guardian. i was going to buy a .380 guardian but that was during the period of time of the switch over from KAHR frames and i couldnt get one for quite a while.

the amazing thing about the seecamps are that the  .25, .32 and .380 are all the same size and weight. The .32 and .380 also have the same capacity. 6+1. The .25 is 7+1.

The seecamp .32 is close in price to the guardian .32. The .380 is more money because of the close tolerances and time it takes to make one because of it being the same size as the .32 and .25

   They are sweet guns.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

gunfitrip

Well said. My Seecamp .32 is flawless, but then again I love my NAAs too.

coinchop

I have both a Seecamp and a Guardian in 32.

And you know what? I don't have to choose

which one is the best. Their both mine and

I like them both. The Guardian came with a

16 lb. trigger but is now almost as good as

the Seecamp. When I take one along to go

shooting its almost always the Guardian if

for no other reason than because it has

   sights.

When I first got the Guardian I shot Rem.

round nose ammo in it and had some problems

but when I switched to Win. in the white box

   it worked fine.
