Has been over for three weeks. Not a peep here, or anywhere else I've noticed, about NAA's participation. Maybe I missed something? Anybody else find any info?

NAA is the only maker that I have any interest in what they do. Everybody else is just endless slight variants of plastic Wonder Nines..... ::)

Well, I missed the show this year, sorry, so can't help you there. I haven't heard anything new either.

Just a quick look and it looks like maybe most people are as old as some of us.
Maybe it is going to be aged out.
Need young people to take over.

I agree!  I think most guns today look and feel like they came out of a 10 year old's toy box.  I've heard all the rationales for polymer gun frames, and I don't doubt that many of them have merit.  But for me, it's an aesthetic thing.  Also, I resent paying the same price (or often more) than I would pay for a skillfully machined all steel firearm, to buy one made mostly of injected molded plastic!  I know this will invite attacks from all of the Glock and Glock clone fan boys, but don't bother.  I am a close-minded crabby old man, and I'm not going to change now!   ;D

P.S.:  My eyes are too bad to read those *** verification letters, and how much is 5 - 3 anyway?!

I've always been anti-plastic, for same reasons as you. I did try LCRs, since just the grip frame is plastic. Had several issues with action parts and Ruger got them back in exchange for a SP101. Now I have a S&W .22 LR AR rifle. It's 2/3 polymer, but at least they have room to make the polymer hefty enough to be reasonably practical. Handguns don't have that luxury. None of the internals are plastic, even the trigger is steel. I would still never buy a plastic frame handgun.

Put your hands on an Sig P365 and it might change your mind I also have a gen 1 M&P 9 Shield which is also a great piece. Never been a Glock fan. My Colts are all metal along with my M9 Beretta. At my age I should be thinking of thinning the handgun herd a bit??.nah

i'm not saying that plastic guns arent effective or reliable, i'm saying that all the plastic guns and parts make for a boring shot show.

I get it 100% I have 2 Sig metal pistols a P239 and P245 I really like them but to carry for instance my Beretta M9 I'm stuck with 10 round magazines (tyranny) the P365 carries the same payload at 1/3 the size. She may not be pretty but shes always willing to please.  ;)

I agree with HeyJoe these guns-now-adays are like the auto industry they all look the same and pretty much function the same . At least wood furniture was always the eye grabber . As for longevity I'll go with tried and true metal everything with the wood of course . ;)

AMEN, BIG THUMBS UP, PLUS ONE, and anything else positive you can think of.  It's nice to know I'm not the lone wolf crack pot that some would have me believe. ;)

I'm surprised our Jessica didn't post on this one. Maybe they have a surprise coming up and don't want to spill the beans. Probably not. I think NAA is the only maker of any size that didn't have a new model in the past year,.

Ever notice that "NAA" would pronounce the same as "Naaah" ?

I love the Glock things you said,I don't get what's the big deal about them they are just general looking ugly guns what a few rappers mentioned them so they're cool now? Nope I don't think so,I'm not a big fan of the plastic but I do have three a Ruger LCP in 380 cal with the bright green tree bark camo and I do have to say I like it very well functioning and light but only holds 6 or 6 and one in chamber, and I have two of the Mossberg 715 pistols in 22lr not normally something I would have two of but one was grandpa's,but for the most part I want everything that was at one time made of metal to be metal, like remember when cars and trucks used to have metal bumpers? Or old ones even had a metal dash with no pad on it

Yep, that has always been my approach. Even to revolvers over semi autos; metal and wood.

Ruger is still producing some nice stuff - just bought this new .357 Blackhawk two months ago.
