Another question about .32 acp Guardian ejecting chambered round

When unloading my Guardian I'm struggling with getting the chambered round to eject. I've tried having an empty magazine in place and it was better but the extractor hangs on to the rim like a vice. Being new to this gun and loving it by the way, It has some operational differences compared to my other semi autos to be kind. I look again to the experience of you guys.

Maybe if I'm very lucky, the Grand Pubah of the Guardian bearcatter may chime in.

Looking forward to some feedback.

The Not So Grand Poobah is here.... ;)

That's one issue with either caliber Guardian. They don't have an ejector to kick the empty out of the gun, depending on the top round in the magazine to be the "ejector". When you fire that one, you just fired your "ejector" and the brass can stovepipe.

By your description, your problem is removing a complete unfired cartridge? Your fired brass ejects okay?

I had your extractor problem a few times when my guns were new, but with fired cases stuck. I've never tried to manually remove a complete cartridge. I always finish what's in the mag. They've had 2-3 hundred rounds apiece fired now. Guardians need some "break-in" shooting. Plus, when I'm done cleaning I always put a drop of oil in the gap behind the outside of the extractor to keep it moving free.

All I can recommend is to tilt the gun sideways to the right and rack the slide back as sharply as you can. Gravity and centrifugal force will help swing the cartridge loose. Otherwise, commit to shooting what you load.

You could put one round in the mag to bump the stuck one loose, but that might just replace the stuck round with another stuck round.

One other slight possibility is the ammo. The rim of one brand might be slightly thicker, making it tighter in the extractor.

I appreciate that info. My issue is when I'm going to the range and I have to go in with a cleared weapon otherwise it's always loaded. I wish I could just go out on my deck and fire away but it's too damned residential. When I shoot it I shoot it dry and have not had any stovepipe issues with the last round of spent brass. I'll try the "urban tilt" when I try to jack the round out the next time.

I feel honored to have been addressed by the sacred one.

Breaking News -  New Info From The Guardian Grand Poobah - Sacred One Adds To His Infinite Wisdom.....

"The sacred one"..... ::). :). ;D...... I think I like "Grand Poobah" better.. 8).....I'm just apparently the 32 Guardian's biggest fan on here. Doesn't make me a genius, and I don't guarantee my advice. Based on my experience.

I just had a Guardian out to weigh it for boscobarbell, so I tried your issue. Maybe this is a definite help.
I put one round in the mag and chambered it. Pulled the slide back, round is stuck like yours. Tried it four times, same thing.

So I tried chambering a round and removing the empty mag. Pulled the slide back, round falls through the grip. I tried that four times, it fell through four times. Houston, we have liftoff !

Just for what if, I tried chambering a fired case (really hard to do with no slide lock) and leaving the empty mag inserted. Three times. Case popped up and out no problem. Looked like the bare follower gave it a push. So it's not just the last round acting as as ejector, the follower helps too.

I really hope this works for you. Sounds so simple, but I don't remember ever ejecting a complete cartridge. I learned something today, thanks for bringing it up!

I will take your advice and try that. I'll let you know how it works.

I genuflect to your greatness oh Grand Poobah

Dinooch I like how you think and Bear of course . Your the first to use " GENUFLECT" in a sentence on here . Kudos to you . :D :D
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

My first answer wasn't very good. I had the means to copy dinooch's problem and didn't think to do that at first. Yesterday was not my best day for anything.

SOP for clearing a pistol is to remove the mag then check the chamber. Just in this case you put the mag back last. My brain was in neutral.

Blasphemy! No one can ever question the Grand Poobah's wisdom even the Poobah himself.

He is never wrong, maybe somewhat mistaken, but never wrong!!!

(I'm having fun with this)

Me too !  That first answer wasn't really wrong, but I skipped the most obvious possibility. I apologize to all my loyal subjects... :(

I think the problem is that my Poobah Turban is in the shop getting the rhinestones polished..... ::)

I've had your experience. When unloading my carry ammo. I just remove the mag. Careful not to put my finger near the trigger. Point in a safe direction. Pull back the slide, using my pinky finger with the slide back, give a slight push on the round hanging from the extractor. It drops right out of the bottom of the magwell.

Now that I'm the Guardian Grand Poobah, we should appoint more. Rick would be the Grand Poobah of Leather, Uncle Lee could be the Grand Poobah of Coffee, etc.. I think we started something. I forget who to blame for first making me the "Guardian guy".. ::)

Everyone should feel free to make more nominations..... :)

I'm kinda famous in my friend group for assigning nick names that always stick. Unfortunately I do not know you guys well enough yet. Grand Poobah was a slam dunk due to realizing bearcatter's Guardian knowledge which I truly appreciate. My mini revolver is much less complicated and easy for me to manipulate not too many questions about that gun.

I nominate Jessica as the Grand Poobahess of all things NAA! Do I hear a "second"?

I will give that a try thank you. This is why I joined this forum being new to NAA guns. Real people that offer their best advice and like to have fun doing it.
