Bought a box of CCI Quiets. Says on box 710 fps. Hope to shoot some tomorrow. Don?t know what to expect. Anybody shot them?

If you are going to shoot them out of a pistol-particularly a mini revolver, they won't be very quiet.
From a rifle, they are quiet.

The B/W is what I will be using mostly. I?m busy this morning, but hoping to shoot a few rounds of it this afternoon. Guess I?ll see how quiet they are. I thought they may sound bout like an air rifle.

OLD and GRUMPY

For quiet short range practice I use these. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/2506163096?pid=946854 With a good back stop I shoot in the shop.  In Mini they still pop but that can be covered with some good loud music. At the range I loaded Mini with 5 different rounds to compare  the noise. Stinger, Mini Mag, Fed Bulk,CB short, Colibri. Compared to the CB short Colibri was just a pop. These are primer only.NOT A TOY. In a rifle they may get stuck in the barrel. Shooting at a plastic gong target at the range I had one come back at me. I cover the back stop with old carpet to contain them.

Colibris are awesome.  You can use Super Colibri in rifles, they are a little faster.  It's nice to plink without needing ear protection.

Run out of time today. Hope to shoot tomorrow. Heard of the Colibris, but never shot any.

I had some issues with them cycling the slide in some of my .22 semi-autos. I got them for some suppressor use, but I like the standard velocity CCI better. They cycle my slide and they are practically silent, as they go subsonic in my handguns.

Shot 5 rounds of the Quiets today. Louder than I thought they might be. I may buy a box of SV, and see how they do. Never shot them before either. Have always shot HV. I don?t have to worry about noise (except for my own ears), I will probably keep shooting the HV. Always heard SV is more accurate.

The only .22 I shoot is HV LR. When I'm outside by myself, or the nearest other shooter is 3-4 benches down, I don't wear muffs. Unless the other shooter has a big caliber like .50 black powder .....  ::)

I'll finish shooting that box up in the B/W. Don't think I'll buy anymore of them. At 710 fps, they would probably be good to shoot, but think I'll stay with the HV.
