I am having a hard time with pictures. Does anybody use a iPad or iPhone, if so, how do you downsize and post pictures?

iOS and iPadOS do not provide a native way to resize images.  There are work arounds, but the preferred way is to use a 3rd party app such as Image Size:

Gotta go to EDIT of pictures then change pixels numbers and save . I'm on a laptop so I really have no idea about those dam phones .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

.

If you can upload pics to one of the free pic-hosting websites ( imgur.com, for one), the sites have the ability for you to resize pics before copy/pasting the resized url to a forum.

I have a MacBook Air. Have to email the pics to myself. That allows me to resize before I send them. Then I drag them to the desktop. From there I can drag them to the post. A real PIA. This is one thing I wish NAA would fix.

My other forums are nice. You can attach your own photos like here. You can copy and paste from anywhere. Once they're up, you just grab a corner and drag it to change the size. Here, I have to copy and paste the image link, open it, close it, and open it again to make the size appear in the URL. Then manually redo the size .... that's why I don't post many pictures, PITA ...  :(

I'm still trying. Downloaded the image size app while ago. Will practice using it tonight and see how I do using it. If I don't figure it out, may do like bearcatter and not worry with pictures. Don't remember how I got some pics posted but now I can't.

After opening Image Size, tap the Photos button in the top-left corner.  It looks like a square with triangles within it and bracket outside the lower left corner.

You will need to grant access to your photos library when prompted.  Select the image you want to resize and tap the choose button. You will then see it in the editor.

Select "pixel".  Between the width and height fields, make sure the icon looks like a chain link. "Linked' means that the photo will maintain the same aspect ratio so that when you change the width, the height will be changed to match it (and vice-versa).

A good target size would be either 1024x768 or 800x600. Pick the larger value in the width or height box and replace it with 1024.  The app will show the original size of the photo and the output size below the image.  If the output is small enough, click the down arrow (with a line under it) to save the image in your 'Recents' folder of the Photos app.

You can repeat this for any photos you need to resize.

Hope this helps.

why is this an NAA problem seems to me to be a mac problem, I have no problems resizing and up loading direct for pc or my laptop

This is the only place I have to resize photos. I don't think it's a Mac problem. I think NAA is behind the times.

Getting ready for the rattlesnakes. Hey finally got a picture. Thank you billmeek. Shot 3 regular rounds and 2 shot shells at about 6-8' with the B/W.

Glad you have the photo situation under control camo!

The snakes have better stay away from your property! Thats a good group and shot pattern!  ;)

I wish they would stay away. The cane patch in the bottom behind my house grows some big rattlesnakes. During summer, I usually keep at least 2 shot shells in the B/W.

Only snakes I've ever killed were in the woodshed of an old farm house. Copperheads, and I had to use a 30-30. My preference would have been a 12 gauge.
