I have as yet to fire them. Presently using Hornady Critical Defense rounds.

I have been watching my suppliers for some time, and thus far, no one has this in stock. Perhaps it will show up soon. I am looking forward to comparing it to the Hornady and Speer.

Thanks for the youtube link. It would have been nice if they would have let us know what barrel length they were shooting. I am guessing a 4", but it is difficult for me to be certain.

Well I just got done shooting about 150 rounds through the Black Widow 2" barrel magnum rounds.

Mostly Winchester Super X rounds as those are only about $11 per 50.

The PDX and the Hornady self defense rounds seemed to perform much better than the cheap stuff. What I mean by performed better is the accuracy and shot placement seemed to be more on the money than the cheaper rounds. Perhaps because the self defense rounds burned hotter faster.

Most of these shots were at 10 yards / 30 feet. At this range I can consistency get a head shot. I moved it to the back of the range a few times it was about 25 yards / 75 feet. At the longest range I can hit the center mass about 4 out of 5 times. I consider this pretty *** good for a little gun. Oh and 2 handed of course. If your going to play cowboy and do a 1 hand'er they better be inside of 10 feet is my guess. Most of my shots with 1 hand at 7 yards were pretty *** bad.

Hi, new here. I actually joined to find out about the performance of these .22WMR defense rounds. Particularly out of the Black Widow. Is there any resource with velocities and gel tests, specifically out of the various NAA minis?

They claim 1295 FPS out of a 2" barrel. But without equipment I can not measure it.

The video I posted seems to show it out of a 4" barrel is our guess.

Nice round and I am GLAD to see that so many ammunition manufacturers are getting on board with the .22 magnum round for self defense!

I am, I live in Avondale, AZ.

I REALLY enjoyed only spending $7.50 for the range fee then $2.00 each for 3 of those targets I posted above. (2 probably would have been just fine) The range fee is half off for Retired Military Veterans on Mondays.

Going there was just pure fun and enjoyment. The check in was a breeze and getting setup was a no brain-er.

Prior to this I had always went out in the desert. But this is even easier and really does not cost much at all.

I will probably go there once a month now that I know about it. Been here since 1998 and I am just now find this place out. I retired from the Navy in 2000.

Any concerns that as they soup up these mag defense round that they could undo wear on these small NAA Pistols?  1200 fps out of 2 inch barrel is moving?
