ya know Bearcatter I've sent this to a lot of people and everyone has gave me an amen brother but a jerk like you has to send this" its Tomorrow." no $hit Dick Tracy dont you think we know that , did it ever occur to you we might be busy tomorrow going to the Cemetery to visit the Hero's that gave all.  you find the negative were ever you can and don't hesitate to post it ,I personalty am sick of your BS all the time. You dont even own a mini and you try to take over the forum with all you BS about guardians  and other none minis, who cares about your guns I don't and probably a good portion of the folks here too. For most of us who served and been under fire every day is Memorial day. A day for those who did not come home. Today is the official day. Those who died years later need to be remembered also. They did not complain about there unseen wounds they just got on with life. Until he died at 80 my dad never bitched about it. It was what it was.He knew what was coming.  At 18 he was exposed to fallout from Hiroshima when recon planes from his ship came back packed full of dust and sand. They had flown through the cloud. The deck crews had to clean it out breathing the dust. His Doctors said this was most likely the cause of his cancer. He never told this to most of the family just me and the doctor. I'll see you in a few years dad.

Thank you - Like others, I lost a lot of good friends during our exotic Southeast Asian vacation.

I think of them often, to this day.....

This day is bittersweet for a lot of us. I just found out this morning one of my ol' Navy buddies passed away.
Fair winds and following seas to a fine shipmate.

Society has largely ruined Memorial Day (and other special days). I got an email this morning with the subject "Happy Memorial Day!". Lots of sale ads. It's all wrong.

I was just enough too young to serve. But I lost some friends. Some were disfigured or crippled. One spent years in the VA psych ward. He dove under furniture every time there was a loud noise, or a plane went over. He never got physically wounded, but his mind never left the jungle. Another cried around children. Had flashbacks of shooting kids that were about to shoot him, or throw a grenade in his Jeep. Several more died all too young later from Agent Orange.

I'll remember them today, and the thousands I didn't know.
