No, they are about the same size. Maybe a little more to the palm. See the pic with the BW grip on the back side. They just look better. :D

Canoeaal,
That looks very nice. From the design,it looks like the recoil is in the palm of your hand.

Super nice design.

Good morning all. Looks like I got the forum to myself. Shot the B/W yesterday. Bottom picture was propped on steering wheel of UTV. Top was standing. Seems backwards, standing was better than propped up. Well, maybe a little better.

camo

Here's a picture of shooting LCP ll .22 and B/W yesterday. LCP on left and B/W is on right. Nothing to bragg about this time.

15 shots with the Black Widow this afternoon.

Camo,
Practice makes perfect and it looks like you are doing a great job.

Lookin' good. I shoot Guardians at 10 yards, and 4 inches is the best I've done. I won't say the worst ..  ;D

Shot the LCP .22 today. About half I shot slow. Last several rounds were at a fairly fast pace. All at 5 yds.

For you guys with original LCPs, how does the Black Widow carry compared to an LCP? I had the regular 22lr mini and I know there's a huge difference in size there. The Black Widow being bigger and all, it seems like it wouldn't hide much better than the LCP.
When I do get a BW it will be getting probably boot grips or standard birds head grips. I'm going to be honest I'm really leaning towards the LCP right now and then getting a BW in a few months but I'd still like to know what you guys think.
I know this is the NAA forum, but if the LCP disappears just as easily I think it will fit my needs just a little bit better at the moment. I love the minis and I will have a BW eventually, but we're talking jeans and dickies/work pants. If there's not going to be a huge difference in printing I'd rather have the LCP. Even pictures I've seen with other grips the BW looks much bigger than the standard minis. That's even compared to the 1 5/8 magnum version.

Strawdog1

In my jeans the Mini disappears a bit better as they are a bit tighter than my work/painter pants. In the painter pants which tend to be a bit loose the LCP ll -22 hides every bit as well. My original LCP in 380 was carried in a back pocket wallet holster and was quite comfortable standing or sitting.

camo

Shot a few rounds with both today. LCP.22 on left and B/W on right. Both at 4-5 yds. I tend to shoot faster and faster with lcp. Probably partly reason for wider spread.

camo

Still have the folding holster grip on B/W. About a month now. I don't know, one day I like it, and next day I think about going back to regular grip. I still haven't checked out the thing meister grips. Anybody else like the folding grip?

"Nobody likes the Folding Grip" lol!!  Just kidding  ;) (a little  :o

There are a few people that profess their admiration of the "Floppy Wobbler" Grips (A nick name for them I've seen here on the Forum)

My thought is they have only used the small "Birds Head" stock grips so the Folding Grip really shines. JMHO

I've tried them, they came on a couple guns I bought from people. I didn't care for them but I'm not "nOrMal"   :o  I gave them to other unsuspecting victims. (that didn't care for them either)  :-X

I prefer the Revision CV grips. Thingmeister has some that look like they will work well (extra length for additional finger grip)

It might be possible that one of these other large "solid mounted" grips may be comfortable for your use.  If you end up not liking the Revision CV or Thingmeister grips you can sell them.

Keep us posted on what you try and what feels most comfortable in the end  :)

Shot several rounds with the B/W today. OV, I'm with you, it does hurt. It worked on my middle finger. I guess I'm trying to like it because I like having my little finger on grip. I will be staying close to a bathroom tomorrow, so it might be a good day to call thing meister, and talk about extended grips.

E-mail him and tell him that you heard about him on the NAA forum.
He might get back quicker. He is quite busy right now.

Thanks uncle_lee, I'll do that. They probably trying to get Christmas orders out.

Monday afternoon turned out nice after raining all morning, so decided to shoot few rounds. 10 shots with BW, and 12 with lcp .22   Was shooting the BW with the folding grip again. Probably going to slow down some shooting. Anybody else shooting any?

  Hey Camo a 410 will do that all at once .  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

One shot of the 410 would almost cost as much as all them shots. But I still think about getting a 410 handgun. What would you recommend? I already have 410 shotguns.

top dog

Camo,
I have two 410 handguns, one is a Bond Arms derringer that I have 9 different bbls for and the other is a Taurus Public Defender Poly.

Both are superb and have not given me any trouble over the years.

Bond and Taurus have excellent customer service if ever needed.

Myself Camo I have a cheap old Colbray side by side 410 . Its a manual cylinder switch right there at your thumb single action of course but a good small size I keep in my car door pocket . I also have the rotating six cylinder model but its kinda a waste seeing you must turn the cylinders manually also , who has time for that right . That one makes a good jon boat anchor (heavy) ,ha ..  ;) ;) ;) ;)

Y'all probably remember I was looking at 410 derringers not long ago. But was still thinking about another BW or Mini Master. I want to be able to EDC what I get. That may harder to do with the mini master length wise, but a 410 derringer might be kinda heavy to tote. top dog, how would the Bonds derringer be to tote everyday. Y'all may have to talk me into it. Is a 410 handgun really worth having?

top dog

Camo,
If you lived close by,I would loan you my Bond derringer and let you pack/shoot it.

IN the IWB holster,I hardly notice it is there and the back pocket holster carry is very discreet too.

The grip design allows the recoil to go into the palm not the web of your hand. 410  2 1/2 inch loads are easy on the recoil, the 3 inch loads are more substantial but you can handle it no sweat/

The Bond derringers are precision built and bank vault tough.
