This one is a little different because the client asked for it to be lined with Smooth Leather.

The extra stitching helps hold the edges together on the openings. 

Those edges are stitched before the holster is glued together and stitched. The focus is lining up the stitched edges where the assembly stitching will line up. I hit it about 90% of the time 

I've never had a glued edge come apart but my rule is to always stitch the "opening's" edges 

The Smooth Leather inside does make the Holster a little easier to "dust out" with a rag or compressed air.

Some think that to "rough" side of leather will scratch/scuff their gun, it really is the micro dust that attaches itself inside the Holster that is the culprit.  This fine dust acts like ultra fine sandpaper and over time will show on the surface of your gun (stainless steel and coated guns.)

Most of my guns are "shooters" and I shoot them and carry them.  Some of the "regulars" do show some "patina" on leading edges from several thousand draws and re-holstering (mostly my 1911's and Glock 17's) I train with those twice a month and use those for classes I attend outside of regular training. (BTW, I clean the guns but rarely if ever dust out the holsters) 

My routine holster care is not necessarily "the best"  (ignore it until something is wrong)

lol! It will also make you younger, thinner, better looking and look "Tacticool"  It's the miracle material of the future!

  Thats the perfect carry assy . Not too much and enough of a refill and boy it looks great .  Thats my long barrel I have yet to get dang it .  .
