I know nothing that?s the only thing I know. I started out Bond vs NAA, but that faded to searching for an NAA.

Ordered a SW 1.5 yesterday. I spent 3+ hours here reading and getting familiar with NAA. Then some videos. My strongest attraction was to the PUG. The 1.5 inch barrel on the SW was the tie breaker.

That?s my story and thanks for having me.

Another fine welcome here also . There are instructions on how to get out of your straight jacket somewhere on here so stick around and like Unc said join the asylum festivities with our wealth of knowledge . Funny though most pick the "Pug" for their first if not the "Black Widow" . You'll just have to buy another like the rest of us . ;) ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Welcome to the forum,a lot of fine folks here.

But I only have to warn you, that SW will not be your only NAA mini as they tend to "multiply"

Watch out for Uncle Lee,he will tell you to store them in shoe boxes as they tend to multiply faster in there. And,he will insist  photos to look at while he has his coffee

Having trouble choosing which NAA to get next?// No probelms we are all here to "assist" you.

Let us know how your new NAA does on the range when you get it.

Welcome to the NAA Forum!

After speaking to several owners of the Sidewinder they dislike it or love it.

The breakdown of those that dislike it are...
#1 characteristically inpatient with most things they don't understand
#2 unwilling to read directions or follow directions if shown how to do it properly
#3 tend to blame the gun FIRST vs. their refusal to learn the way it properly works

Properly operating the attached cylinder (doing the actual steps to open then close the cylinder) is difficult if you don't have a clue of how to operate it.

They tend to force the cylinder opening and closing causing damage to the ejector pin or the cylinder.

I have seen one damaged cylinder from forcing it closed that the slots on the back of the stainless cylinder folded over from forcing the cylinder in/out without having the hammer in "half cock" position.

I go by the rule... if it's not working smoothly, I'm doing something wrong! lol!  ;)

BTW... I have all 3 barrel length models of the Sidewinder  :o

Now, which model are you looking at for your next NAA?  We are here to help!  ;)

Welcome BillRay.  The NAAs are quality guns and they take care of their customers.  I have a couple of J-frames I could carry buy usually just go with my Black Widow.  It carries so easy and I shoot it pretty well after all these years.

Bleak Window,
Same here for me. I have some J-frames but it always is the BW that is with me.

The waiting is the hardest part.

Almost parted with my Sidewinder today.   I have the 2.5 inch model with both cylinders.
I do like it well enough, enjoy shooting it, accurate enough with the 2.5 barrel, put boot grips on it, fun too.
But it wasn't getting much use.  So I took it and another revolver to the shop today.   Shop was not interested in the Sidewinder.  Too unique, too much of a novelty, would be hard and long to sell at a good price.  They said I could consign the Sidewinder.  Not interested.  Don't have to move it on.  I'll keep it a while and continue to enjoy it.

Did trade the LCR in on a Glock 19 gen 5 but that's another thread topic for a different time.

As said read the directions, maybe watch a video or two, and yea........Enjoy your NEW Sidewinder!

Motter,
Good thing you did not part with your Sidewinder because if you did,you would later be sorry you sold it.

I have seen a number of posts on this forum about folks saying they later regretted selling a Mini.

Very Socratic. Knowing that you do not know something is the first step toward wisdom.

After several years the short barrel Sidewinder is still my favorite Mini for pocket carry. It is as accurate as any of my other minis (in my hands, at least) and just a very cool little revolver. But the 2.5" Sidewinder is just as cool and only a little bit harder to fit in my pocket.
