Just read email on a laser for my B/W. Never thought about a laser but that got me wondering. Thought I'd ask what you think about them.

.

IMO, they look cool, but I've never wanted to make my BW Mini into a maxi for CCW

You just gotta make sure the laser is as tight to the gun as if it was cast to it . Those lasers seem to always slip even just a smidgen and will set that sight going somewhere else along with your bullet .  ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

i think spend your money on ammo and practice point and shoot

Ok. That's what I needed to hear. Thanks.

I agree with heyjoe... "spend your money on ammo and practice point and shoot"

Be aware to not develop any bad habits. Watch a few You Tube videos on Concealed Carry w/Revolver and see if you get any tips from those.

There are a couple of magazine articles about shooting with a laser. Those with a laser were 1/2 second slower with their first shot on average.

The consensus was "the shooter w/laser was searching for the laser dot vs. aiming and shooting".

You will only know if it helps or hinders you from practicing with and without it and, using a shot timer to get accurate metrics.

I use the Pact Club Timer III  Keep the directions handy and wear your ear protection when you first are learning how to use it! lol!
https://www.amazon.com/PACT-Club-Shot-Timer-3/dp/B00PGIL974

You can set it up to measure time from the draw to first shot. This combined with target accuracy will give you a better understanding of what works for you and what doesn't.

There are also free app's for a Shot Timer. I've never used them but they may be worth a try before spending $130 on a timer. They can be found in Apple App's and Google Play for iPhone or Android.

Do what works best for you! Buy a thousand rounds of ammo and practice. Keep your first 20 rounds target and compare it to the last 20 rounds target. You will be surprised of the improvement that shooting once or twice a week will make.

And, post photos of your progress!

It would have taken a lot of persuasion, but I'm not gonna think no more about it. Ammo, and also can put that money towards another B/W or mini master.

Mmmmm...  :)  Mini Master! Yes! A very fun gun to shoot!

And still easy to conceal under a shirt or jacket  ;)

Thank you Uncle_Lee!  :)

I know I've held back photos lately. Sorry about that! I have a bunch queued up ready to post.

I'm saving them up for later this month so I have something to do during the day while laid up after hip replacement surgery (oct 16th)

I've been trying to finish all orders, I posted on the DGL website a banner "not taking orders until Dec. 1st" to keep orders from coming in. There are about 25 I need to finish this week. I'll call about orders that I can't get done and see if they'll be able to wait a month or so.

I'm hoping I'll be up and able by Dec. 1st or sooner! I hear recuperating from hip surgery is quicker than knee surgery  :o

Thank you guys!  I didn't mean to hijack this thread  :o

Hopefully there won't be any complaints about the amount of photos I post in a couple weeks! lol!

Back to the thread...  Yep lots of quality practice and shots down range vs. relying on a laser!  ;) lol!

I'll second the Mini Master as a great addition to the Black Widow.  There was a guy who loaned me his to try out and see how I liked it... Just a few days later he had an order for a Mini Master Holster... Wonder who that great Enabler was?

Rick, Good luck on the hip replacement.  Guess you no longer will be all OEM parts! (Joke for the car and Insurance guys)

I've been limping around myself the last month, getting old sucks but at least we are still above ground!

Thank you  :) I'm more than ready to get this done.
It's getting worse everyday, the pain from surgery will subside in a couple of weeks and I doubt is any worse than what I have had lately  :o

mrmurl

Rick I have had both Hips and both knees replaced and the hips were the easiest to come back from.  Now I have had a shoulder replaced and so far it is the worst.  I treated myself poorly when I was younger, and now I am paying for it.  I even have rods and screws in my spine.  If you can't guess what kind of work I did back then, was building construction.  Then I got smart by going to college at age 41 at graduation I was a teacher in a small community college for another 20 years.  Let's see now 20 years of construction, plus 3.5 years of college and 20 years of teaching.  That makes me 78 years old with all kinds of injuries and maladies, like RA combined with regular Arthritis, Nuero(sp) pain from Nerve damage in various places.  Are you crying for me yet?LOL  I am still upright and above the grass, so all is well.  A prayer for your quick and full recovery.  BTW I type  with one finger on my right hand because a tendon to my index finger ruptured and it don't work anymore.
A gun is like a parachute; if you need it and don't have it, you probably won't need it again.
