How to Add a Lanyard Ring to a NAA Mini?

Recently I saw that there's some Minis with a built-in lanyard keyring (is this a distributor exclusive?), but it's located between the grip and the trigger which would make holding the Mini to fire very difficult (won't be able to get even two fingers there now) plus you can't take it off?
But on occasions I'm thinking a keyring can cone in useful. Does anyone have any ideas how to add a keyring to a Mini without permanently modifying it?

IME, there are a few ways to add a ring.

One way would be to D/T the bottom of the gripframe for a QD sling swivel stud.

Another would be to dill a hole through the lower portion of the grip panels for the key ring itself

The third way would be to fashion a thin 1/4" wide U-shaped metal strap that can be positioned on the bottom of the gripfame (under the bottom of the grip panels) to protrude below the frame on both sides to attach a thin nut between them for the QD stud ( how some Hogue grips that slide up onto a gripframe are secured).

The same system  can be purchased directly from Hogue: https://www.hogueinc.com/accessories

I agree with Pietro and use the second method by attaching the ring to the grip panel.

On my Black Widow,I make a slit in the bottom of the grip to allow me to put in a cotter pin and expand it inside the grip.

The ring goes through the eye of the cotter pin.

While fly fishing,I put the BW in a vest pocket with the lanyard attached.

Exactly what I was looking for, allows me to have a keyring if I want one, but not permanently. Thanks for all the great answers!

Slitting the factory plastic grips may not have much longevity.
The laminated wood grips would fare better.

Back when Warthog was posting, he said that he had a friend drill and tap a hole in the bottom of the grip frame to allow the use of a lanyard ring.

You should know that wasn't true.
He has no friends. :)

He is another one that I miss deeply.

I think you can send your gun to NAA and they can solder/weld a ring on the bottom of the frame. I've seen photos of a Short done like that.

The Black Widow Grips cover the area where the ring would attach so some of the other ideas mentioned would probably work better.

FWIW...

3 or 4 years ago I received and email from "Warty". It seemed to be a "broadcast" type letter he sent to many people to inform them of his situation, my email address was just included not sent to me personally.

In the letter he insinuated that he may be going to jail for a while. (I don't remember the exact words but, he did say the judge found him guilty) and we may not be hearing from him for some time.

I believe that he was diabetic and was having issues with one of his feet. He was in a medical rehab facility at one point.  I don't know how well he may or may not have taken care of his health issues  (I'm guessing not very well) so he may have passed by this time.
