In an effort to reduce thread drift we are introducing a Politics and Religion Topic where users can post useful news, information and rants about current political climate. We expect the users to engage each other with an amount of decorum. Thanks.

To whoever locked the thread, Who is Jesus, please explain why.  I thought religion was a suitable topic for discussion.  Nobody was forced to participate in this thread or even read it.  Nobody was belittled by me for expressing a different religious belief.  Our nation has a Constitution which guarantees freedom of religion and speech; where has this particular thread violated the rules laid down by NAA regarding participation in their forum.

Whoever locked the thread, Who is Jesus?, have the courage to identify yourself and let us have a discussion.

Thank you all for your support.  I do not believe a forum member would have locked the thread.  The hope remains that whoever did will have a change of heart and unlock it - all is forgiven.

Thank you, Old and Grumpy.  Although the thread has been locked,  it is still being read by forum members who still have access to read it from its beginning twelve years ago to the day it was locked.  Over those years many contributors have participated in the discussions; it is a blessing to be able to look back today and read their comments.

I thought the forum was moderated pretty often. What happened to Jessica? The newer lady is what, Rachel? For now it seems that nobody is minding the store.

I could post a naked lady and see how long it takes to get noticed ..

I assure you guys, people at NAA are actively moderating this group. At least once every couple of weeks, spammers sign up with new memberships and spam the groups with junk. It happens all of the time. That's why there is a 10-post limit before messages can be seen. Because of this new-member rule, you guys never see the spam.

I don't have an answer about why the thread got locked, but it may have been done accidentally. I don't know, maybe there's even a forum software limit. Perhaps somebody at NAA can clarify, but as suggested, maybe just starting a new thread will suffice.

Still holding out hope that someone in the NAA leadership will be able to unblock the thread (whether the lock came from a spammer, accidentally, or whatever).  It would be heart breaking for me to have the input to this thread sink into oblivion in the months and years ahead.
