Stumbled across this.

https://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2024/01/29/shot-2024-north-american-arms-sentinel/

I'm sure I'll pick this up, just wish it would come in black :)

Wow, that was quick! Thanks for the heads-up, Kublah,

A break open black widow would've been nice. Don't know about what the price would be.

OLD and GRUMPY

The pictures in the TFB article make it look like all the chambers would clear the frame?

Now that would hit my desires right in the middle.
I would take a pair of those.
Really quick.
I would be willing to pay a thousand each if they had consecutive serial numbers.

Will some one from NAA answer the question. Will the cylinder swing clear of the blast plate letting a speed loader be used.

The Sentinel looks cool. I have always liked the looks of the Pug. But the only (possibly) improved feature that I see different from the Sidewinder is the release mechanism. Maybe the sights, depending on a person's taste.

To me, the biggest plus of the Sidewinder is that I do not have to worry about dropping the cylinder or pin when reloading. In that respect, the Sentinel should be preferable to a Pug. But overall, I guess I am kind of underwhelmed, like most folks here. I wonder how the price will stack up against the Pug or Sidewinder.

I hope it is easer than the Sidewinder. I don't have the grip in my fingers left to pull the little release knob and open the cylinder on the Sidewinder.

even if the chambers barely clear the frame, you still might not have clearance for the speedloader.

I like this one too. Last time I looked them up they were priced at a premium (when they first came out)

To add another Black Widow to the 3 or 4 I already have I can't justify to additional price. But... I sure like it!  ;)

I've been waiting to see if Admin is going to respond to ?'s but they have been tight lipped.Feel like they abandoned us.  >:(

It is interesting that there seems to be no more official information available. I cant seem to find any more shotshow information on the sentinel besides the link I provided earlier.

The Sentinel will be available in a .22 mag frame with the option of a conversion cylinder. It will also be available with either White Dot and Tritium Sights. Although we have no official price yet, we are looking at it coming in around $400. The foldable grip made for the sidewinder will work with it. The cylinder will swing out on the right side.

Barrel size: 1.5-inch
Caliber: .22 Magnum
Capacity: Five-shot
Grip: Black pebbled

The barrel on the Pug is 1 inch: the Black Widow is 2 inches. So ... the Sentinel will have a barrel halfway between the two? Just want to be clear if that is correct, Admin.

That extra half inch might sway me a bit more toward buying a Sentinel.

burncycle

Keep in mind even out of the Pug's 1" barrel, there are .22 magnum FMJ loads that will reliably exceed 12" of penetration, making it a viable self defense tool. Can't go wrong with whichever option you go with.

Those grips are like the Wasp's grips...not like the Pug grips...

I love the NAA products, but they have milked the mini revolver frames just about out.
A new product is in order, not another revamp of the same stuff.

OV-1D

Agreed we need a much more progressive mindset with a new model . Double action is the only model they might be able to squeeze out of the traditional frames and I really don't think they are capable of such an undertaking honestly . Then we have affordability . ;) ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

That is the most succinct comment on this topic. I agree completely.

But if NAA  is selling as many revolvers as they can make, then I suppose that there is not a lot of incentive to do expensive retooling for something really different.

I am not real smart so I had to look that one up. First time in my life that I ever bumped into it.

Ya know if they would have did the Black Widow as a sidewinder I'd be all over it. I've never really been a fan of the pug personally. No real advantage over a standard mini, the minis already have short barrels, I don't understand the point of chopping the barrel down from the 1.12 barrel.

camo

I was hoping for the B/W as a sidewinder or break open also. Mostly a break open. I don't want a shorter barrel than the B/W.

PocketMagnum

I like the look of this new model a lot. Once I am able to find and pickup the .22 short version, then this Sentinel is next.

This is the best price I could find on an NAA Short...

I have no affiliation with this company. I have purchased from them in the past. The service and product were excellent.

I'm always happy to "enable" someone to purchase a gun! lol!!

Rick, that is a great price! They're about $50-75 more LGS here. This is so tempting!

I agree that it is very cool. I just like owning the smallest real revolver that it is possible to make. And that is a good price.

Funny says sales not allowed in Alaska??? I thought  Alaska  was very gun friendly  ???

Nope, the Pugwinder doesn't do anything for me. You take the Pug grips off and use Wasp grips and leave the gun looking like a brick. MM or BW grips won't work. Sorry, it is not for me.
