Hi all- our engineers are working on final touches of the Sentinel before it is released for production. The release date is set for June. We wanted to get thoughts on the last piece- the cylinder pin. I know a lot of you have had thoughts about the functionality of the sidewinder pin, so I figured you'd have opinions. We have two options, let us know which you like better!

It may look a little small, but if you click on the photo, you should be able to see the full image.

We appreciate your feedback.

If you click on it once, it gets bigger. Click twice, a lot bigger.

1 looks more functional, but 2 blends well with the surrounding design. I voted 2.

I am a blind ol dude.
Other than little difference in the markings on the end of the cylinder pins, I don't see any difference in how they operate.
Thanks for enlightening me.

I like #! because it has more friction.

But yeah, the images are kind of dark and hard to see. I right-clicked on the image and brought it up in a new window and then zoomed in.

Either way, tho, the different isn't going to change my mind about buying one, hehe.

Dinadan

I voted number one because it looks like it might provide a bit better grip.

OLD and GRUMPY

#1 better grip for the fumble fingered.

We vote Option #2. While Option #1 may, and we say may, provide a little bit more traction; it does not look like it will make much of a difference and the lines just do not go with the rest of the revolver. Option #2 looks as if it will give plenty of traction while still accentuating the lines of the revolver.

Looks like you and I are the only "2" votes so far, and for the same reason.

A valid point. Honestly, I could go either way.

As I get older and the fingers don't grip as well I want a very rough surface. It's a tool not a piece of art for me.

NOW I see the different grip for the pin . Thanks I thought I was losing it . Until they figure a way to expel and load all cartridge's at once theres no need for any mod in my sorry opinion ..   :(  If they want to carve on it do it where it will count on that issue .

As someone who has started having major problems with hands and fingers, I would prefer # 1.
Also, since I carry one as a concealed carry, I don't give a darn what it looks like, it is how it works for me that counts, function over style.

well to me it looks like 2 would have a better grip. the flute is horizontal thumb and index finger will grab that easy #1 vertical  pulling down fingers willl slip right off. I assume you have to pull the pin down to get it out. Plus it looks bettter

Looks like Option 1 was used on the prototype.

Found these videos too, Dustin does a great job giving some more details about it.

She's in the "Thank You!" thread below this one. Bet you didn't see her photo I posted. ....

My post with her photo is no longer in the Thank You! thread. It didn't get any response so I put it in a new thread. That thread is gone. I have seen her in the past, thought some other members would enjoy seeing who they were dealing with all those years.

Both deleted, and I didn't do it. No message about it. Maybe I should go through the forum and remove all of my posts? ...

It would upset me if you posted a picture of me without my permission.

You said, "I also didnt think putting up someones real name without permission here was too cool either." I can't think of but one time, one member. Must be the same person. Who likes guillotines? ...  ::) If I'm right about the house, I love the driveway. The photo that shows it all wouldn't copy.
Ah you just didn't know how to copy it ;)

I vote for Option #1.
Will new part be available to install in the original stainless steel Sidewinders?

Hello, heyjoe, how is it going?  God bless you.

Wumbey Goomba

I would vote option three.
My old Pug is a thing of beauty. The cylinder pin
is simple and works just fine. If it?s not broke, you
know the rest.
I like the look of the original and the simplicity.
The new squared one, just is not appealing to me.
Sorry for the negativity, just one mans opinion.
For what it is worth, I don?t like the Sidewinder either.
For the same reason. Square bad.

I find no fault with trying to appeal to a perceived thought
that this is what the people want. They probably do.
I fancy myself a oddball, so it makes sense that it?s not for me.
Now for me, a two inch Short would be the ticket. I would buy
one for each hand. Four if my toes were longer. Just saying.

You still have the info bits and house in a post where you quote me.

I deleted all of that and some text from my posts, early yesterday, right after the forum was restored.

He hasn't helped himself by confirming the house is his. I said "might", there were three possibilities. I didn't post any complete info to be usable by anyone.I didn't post his city. I didn't post his name in this thread.

If I don't see any objections, in open posts or PMs, I will delete my membership tonight.

Posted a reply several days ago regarding the pin design, still waiting for admin approval but unfortunately I think the reply will be buried in the thread.

Thanks for all your input! We really appreciate you all. It is looking like Option 1 is winning.

I'm a little late to this but I voted for #2

It looks better! Better aesthetics with the rest of the pistol. JMHO

#1 may have better grip but I think I can handle the horizontal slot and still make the cylinder function  ;)

Did they just make reference to the philosophy of safe places? That sounds awfully Woke!  :o :o

Considering the overall aesthetic, I think option 2 looks the best to me. Option 1 is still good, though!
