TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Are those mammoth on the SW?

45flint

Yes Alaskan Mammoth.  Built them for the Earl probably need to take a little length off if I was to keep them with the sidewinder.

I really like the look of the mammoth......you made them, right?

Flint, I think I asked this before, but forgot the answer. Does the mammoth hold up for shooting, or is it for display? Seems like if stabilized it should hold up?

45flint

It probably can depend on the ivory that you get.  If it is really well stabilized I think you are almost dealing with something that is as strong as epoxy.  But there can always be flaws in the process and there are almost always flaws in in the ivory itself.   That said I would not hesitate to shoot the ones I have made.

Your grips look great, and am glad to hear they are functional too.
