This was finished and shipped last week.  I'm a little jealous now because I have a couple of SA-35s and have yet to make myself a Holster for one or both!  :o (my SA-35 & Mag's in the photo)

It's an "Avenger" Style Holster in Chestnut Color Leather with Basket Stamp Tooling on the overlay support.

The Avenger-style holster for a "Full-size" handgun works for concealed carry and is my favorite for training classes and drills. It's very similar to a "Pancake" Style in looks. The Pancake hides a little better under cover garments but for training, I prefer the Avenger. JMHO  ;)

Photos to help with the swilling of morning coffee!

Questions, Comments, and Constructive Criticism are always welcome!  Thanks for looking!

Just a comment Rick but if I ordered one I would like the trigger showing for an instant grab .  ;) ;) ;) ;)

Very "old school" OV!

I don't expose the trigger on any I make, I haven't seen any current makers that will do that for a modern firearm but there might be some.

The trigger is covered for additional safety factor.  (I'm a Holster Nanny!) lol!!

Article awhile back by former Sheriff Jim Wilson, where he wrote about exposed triggers.   He stated that Tom Threepersons of Oklahoma and El Paso fame and S. D. Myers designed one of the best gunfighting holsters ever, with exposed hammer and trigger, and no more leather than absolutely necessary.   Pattern became very popular, even used by FBI, during the revolver days, but when poorly trained people started to try to holster their striker fired semi-auto, with their finger still on the trigger, bad things happened.   He said that the problem is not with the holster, but poor trigger finger training.

Heck Rick how did you know I was old ,old ,old school like maybe the turn of the past century and not the  last century but the one before that one or that one . They asked me to sign that big sheet of paper "Independence of something" but I had to go to the head and missed out the quill broke  . .......................... LHB explained it very well , too many not doing the right thing as I see it . ;) ;)

I have to agree with you LBH about the "poor trigger finger training",  I see it every time I teach a class or do RSO for the range.

I carry liability insurance in case someone shoots themselves in the foot using one of my Holsters and decides it might be my fault  :o
By covering the hammer and trigger with leather as much as I can I hope to defeat the worst offenders! lol!

I've seen the old revolver-style cop holsters... trigger exposed! lol!

A buddy of mine is S.D. Myres nephew. He comes over to my house and uses my stitcher every week or so. (Dale Myres)

He built himself a saddle this winter when he would bring some parts over I'd look at them and tell him "S.D. would smack you in the head if he saw that!" He would mutter "Eff S.D." lol!

He grew up in the saddle shops in TX and can freehand a floral western tooling pattern like no one else I know! I've had him draw a couple of tooling patterns for me for spur straps and a couple for saddle breast collars I had orders for.
