I've been looking at the Mk IV's for a while.

I have one for molding Holsters for the Mk IV .22/.45 that was put together from "parts" and bartering.

Needing/wanting a "standard" Mk IV I started looking...

I saw this Grip Frame online, one of Ruger's Stainless Steel Frame, and a Tactical Solutions 6" Pac-Lite barrel so I bought them!  ;)

The Bolt is a Volquartsen High-Performance Bolt

I bought 4 OEM Ruger magazines for it (my 22/45 mags don't fit) lol!

I've put about 200 rounds through it and it runs flawlessly.

A customer told me it won't run correctly or accurately suppressed. He is wrong... 150 of those 200 were with the suppressor! lol!!

Photos for "proof"  ;)

.

Those Rugers were/are pretty decent pistols (I've had several of the older models, over the years).

One or two even had great triggers, right from the factory.

Rick,
I have found that the pistols run better suppressed.

I have a Walther P-22 (0ne of the first models) and it is very ammo finicky and would not function at all with standard velocity ammo. I put a TAC-65 can on it and it runs flawlessly with all ammo, both standard and high velocity.

Those Mark IV's are the tops in design ,balanced weight ,so accurate even with your eyes closed , ease of loading and with all types of barrel styles they can't be beat with the exception of Brownings 22's ,balance is not as good as Rugers but they are almost better than Rugers in all other aspects (EXCEPT AGAIN) buying Brownings magazines for that gun . OUCH !!!!
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Love that Rick! It looks absolutely fabulous and if it runs anything even close to our Mark I it also runs fabulously.  ;D

The trigger on this one is not bad at all (from the factory)
It's a fun one to shoot!

I had a baggie full of .22lr from different companies and I loaded it randomly on purpose. There were no "hiccups" from failures but I could hear the differences of different manufacturer rounds even suppressed.

Very nice collection of pistols OV!

I also like my new S&W Model 41 .22lr (new to me) for sure! (I wish it had a threaded barrel)  ;)

Thanks Rogue!  :)

I had a Mk I 30 years ago, I bought it for $50.00 and Shot it a little but I didn't have the "appreciation" for guns at that time I do now and sold it after a year or so. (I also remember trying to put it together after cleaning!)  :o

I have one from a friend's estate that has not sold for a couple of years. I may pop a magazine in it and see how it shoots! lol!
It didn't have a magazine and I had a heck of a time getting one that would fit to sell it.  (I should test it out this weekend)  ;)

Yes, you should do so.

Wish they made them in .22 mag...I've, at least, never seen one.

I never have seen one in .22 mag either! (I'm sure someone has a custom-made one  ;))  That would be some fun! Accurate and potent!

KEN AR

Well Rick is this another addiction I can be blamed for?  Beautiful MK 4.

I just inherited 4 MK 1's and two MK 2's from my Father in law.  I gave a Slab side Competition Target model MK2 to my Brother In Law.  I needed to get him hooked on the Ruger Auto's also.
I immediately installed the Hammer Strut Support on all  6 of them. The Hammer Strut Supports make it much easier to reassemble a MK 1,2 or 3.

Thank you for the heads up Ken ............... just ordered one for our Mark I Pistol. Never really had a problem with putting the pistol back together but it can be somewhat tedious at times so we thought we would give it a try.
