OK, how about a picture to conjure up some discussion! I should have posted this photo on Wheel-Gun Wednesday yesterday, but instead here they are for Thailand-Wood Thursday!

So, this is my small collection of Taurus revolvers featuring wooden grips I bought from a guy in Thailand off eBay a few years ago.

These Taurus revolvers are, counterclockwise: matte gray Judge 410./45LC, top left, stainless 617 .357-Magnum, middle left, stainless spurless 905 in 9mm, bottom left, blued 405 in .40S&W, bottom right, and titanium 617 .357-Magnum middle right.

I have more Taurus revolvers, but these are the ones with Thailand wood.

Good old jaruwan.p grips!  I bought several nice ones back in the day.

Nice group of revolvers and nice grips!

Working with wood is not a skill set I'm proficient in.

I'm always amazed at the talent when I see what some of the guys here on the Forum have done! (and that chap in Thailand has the same gift!)

Mr22,
Super nice collection there with the grips to match.

I have found that customer service from Taurus is superb.

Yes indeed, bleak_window! That's him! He did very nice work and had great prices. I don't think he's on eBay anymore, but I haven't been in the market for Taurus revolver grips for awhile.

Yeah, heyjoe, I have the Taurus View as well. It's a tiny .38 and not fun to shoot! I've been planing to do some 3D printed grips for it that would help with that.

I had a .41-Magnum Taurus revolver, but unfortunately, I sold it. I really regret it. It's not an easy one to find. I still have a Taurus .44-Special titanium revolver. I debated about which one to sell at the time--.the .44-Special or the .41-Magnum. I kept the .44 because it was titanium, but I'm not sure I made the right choice. (The correct choice was to keep them both, LOL.)

Taurus may make good centerfire revolvers, but the rimfires I have seen have been all over the place; very inconsistent triggers.

The only Taurus revolvers I have sold are a 94 in .22LR and a 415 (I think?) in .41-Magnum. I regret selling one of them and it ain?t the rimfire one! The trigger pull was horrendous! I hated it! It felt good in my hand, but it was a booger to shoot.

I have probably a dozen or so Taurus revolvers left and I really like them.

I have a 605. (5 shot snubby that can shoot .357.) For a short barrel, it's more accurate than my 68 year old eyes. I just have the rubber grips. Those wooden grips look nice, though.

Very nice! I'm jealous. I have a Tracker in .45-ACP, but those are cool. Two Taurus revolvers I don't have!

BTW, have you visited the Taurus Armed forum? https://www.taurusarmed.net/

Yeah, it's been a fun place to hang out for years, although my presence there has been sporadic (as it has here was well, I suppose!).
