Death before Decaf !!!!!

I'd have to have it in 410. My ol arthritic hands and fingers couldn't handle the 12 gauge. 410 and .22 are mostly all I shoot nowadays.

Camo,
Put a 3 inch  410 in a Bond derringer and you will know that something had "occurred:.

I agree with you as I tend to shoot the lighter stuff now a days. No sense in getting beat up.

I just brought out my Henry AR-7 Survival rifle for a range session today. That is my canoe/truck gun when I go up to Maine.

Nice to shoot 22s and not get beat up.

I have a Kel Tec KS7 I must say that thing is, although manageable, a real beast. Flawless function and well made. Yeah I get it it's a Kel Tec but my Gen 1 P32 has never failed me either. I will admit I had a PF9 which in theory was the perfect stick it in you back pocket gun but it was a jammamatic so it went bye bye.

Take a look at the Keltec KSG410.  With 3 inch shells it holds 5 in each tube (there are 2) so you get 11 total if you load one in the chamber. With 2 1/2 inch shells it holds 15 (7+7+1) shells.  While not as inexpensive as the shotgun in the initial post, it is a mean little 410.  One of the current best prices:

I won't carry a laser device... unless it has stun, kill, and disintegrate settings.

Add a Pachmayr slip-on recoil pad to tame the beast a bit:

A very inexpensive bullpup 410:

Can't find any decent reviews on the 410 or 20ga versions, but there are some out there on the 12ga model.  Turkish made, so due to import restrictions it maxes at 5 rounds. One of the several Youtube videos on the 12ga:

I've never really paid any attention to these type shotguns, but you got me looking at them. Top dog, I still think about the bond derringer in 410 all along.

Camo,
I have had my Bond derringer since they first came out. VERY WELL made and customer service is superb.

The recoil with the 3 inch shells is fairly significant but due to the grip design, the recoil is in the palm and not the web of your hand.

If I can handle it,I know that you will not have any problems.

Ive had a couple Keltec .22 mag pistols, and never any problems. Going to their site when I leave here and check out the shotguns. I been looking on the Bond Arms site, and I still like that Rowdy XL in 410. I forgot, but I think it weighed maybe 22 oz. So I would know I had something in my pocket. Gonna keep thinking on it.

So, I forgot to mention that I ordered one of these and it should be arriving on Tuesday. Not sure why UPS is taking 8 days, but I'm very much looking forward to trying it out.

I've been looking at getting one of these, but I could never find one locally. When I saw the price at Palmetto, I resisted for over a week, thinking maybe they would sell out and I couldn't get one, but no such luck!

Anyway, I'm planning to post a video review of the RIA VRF14 on my newly-activated YouTube channel when it arrives. I plan to compare it to my Serbu Super Shorty.

I've been a Kel-Tec fan since 1998, when I bought my first Kel-Tec, a P11 in 9mm for concealed carry. Shortly after that, I got the P32. I really like Kel-Tec stuff. I even met the founder, George Kelgren, at a SHOT Show, probably in the early 2000's. Terribly nice guy.

I also have a PLR-22, PLR-16, SU-22, P40, stainless P11 (not hard chrome), and P17. Haven't tried the shotguns.

Got both the KSG410 and the Escort BullTac 410 (both I linked above) in hand.  I've not had a chance to actually fire either one, but from just handling them I find myself preferring the cheaper Turkish gun.  Little things like it's already setup for a dot site having a pic rail on top, but you can still use the irons too.  Where the Keltec you have to spend money for the rail and it replaces the  carry handle with the iron.  The Escort has QD sling points where you have to add them to the KSG410.  It's also a significantly less expensive firearm.

The KSG410 holds more ammo and is fully ambidextrous (not something I require), but cost double the price of the Escort.  If reliability is the same (I'm assuming both will be reliable), I'd probably buy the Escort instead.

.

Palmetto has an even better deal on this pump shotgun for less $$$ than it takes for a family to go out to eat today  ( $109 USD )

I just got the call from my local FFL that my RIA VRF14 is in. Good news indeed! Looks like it arrived early. Hopefully I can get a review video posted to YouTube over the weekend. Time to order some mags!

Picked up my RIA VRF-14 yesterday. I'm very pleased. It's a very cool firearm. It came with some cheaper black plastic sites and I replaced them with some less-cheap red polymer sites.

Also, in a surprise to me, it came with a hard plastic case with RIA written on the side. That was a bonus I wasn't expecting that makes the deal better. I just ordered a 9-round magazine and a 19-round magazine from Armscor.

Can't wait to shoot it. I'll be posting a video to my YouTube channel.
