This is not OK, I guess...

Hello,
my new NAA's cock kicks to the frame, which cause 1/10 to 1/5 of shots to fail.
See the marks of contact between cock and frame.
Cartridges have in failed case only slight mark from cock.

Here are other photos:

The revolver is back at seller, but - is this usual problem?

ThanX for your opinion.

Ahoy Murphy!  Same thing happened to me with my first Ranger II 2.5 inch version.  With mine, the hammer was scraping the frame on one side, resulting in an annoying number of light strikes, and damage to the frame and hammer.  All the NAA team did was to look at it, change the main spring (why - who knows...) and then to send it back to me.  After three trips back and forth, with no problem resolution, I gave up and sold this lemon at a considerable loss.  It left a bitter taste with me.  I was very disappointed in the service I received, and did not feel that I was well cared for.  My request for NAA to take back the defective unit and send me a new replacement fell on deaf ears.  I sincerely hope you fare better than I did.

That does not sound like the NAA we all know so well. Let's see what Rachel has to say about it and then decide on this unusual circumstance. :o

You may not need it but should have it.

No, this is not OK.
Nor is it usual.
Either it does not happen often or people don't let the factory know about it.
Don't quit, keep sending it back until they get it right. I know they can.
I can remember one other time this was mentioned. I don't remember how it ended.

Hello,
I have an update:
I sent the gun to KOZAP - the distributor of NAA here, in Czech Republic.
They tested the gun, found nothing, but - to be sure - they filled the hammer a bit and sent it back.
Nothing changed, 1/10 to 1/5 of shots are still light strikes / misfires.
Here you can see:  https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/8v2gwc6arbkihty1c4vud/AKG9Wxe6YkIEjsfS-2I8NAM?rlkey=23horhhb8abo7ujai8ce68ewm&st=us226hjg&dl=0
I'll try to attach some of the photos also here.

Meanwhile, I have contacted NAA in US. They are unable to open attachments due to security reasons, so they forwarded me to Jordan Young, who is responsible for non US sales. And he redirected me to KOZAP in CZ again.
It looks that nobody read my question. I asked, if the filling of the hammer is the right way to solve the claim in case of life warranty...

Tomorrow, I'll try to call KOZAP again to negotiate next steps.

Another problem is, I'm in Europe and I cannot send here guns by mail. I have to travel 300 km to the purchase site - KOZAP.

I tried to take some photos, but the surface is glittering and my phone is refusing to concentrate to the gun. :-/
What I managed is in the dropbox link in my other post.
Tomorrow I'll go to the range, I'll try to capture some video also.

Today, I did some limited tests, because I forgot LR cylinder at home. :-(((

3 missfires in first cylinder of wmr, next 3 cylinders were all ok.

The print of missfires look light, IMHO.
But, could it be, I carried these rounds in the cylinder for few very hot days in my pocket? I used this holster.

MAGIC!
The gun is self-healing.
As soon as I posted this information, the problem disappeared.
May be, there were some burrs inside and were washed out or what.
I run 100 pcs of LR through it and only 3 were misfires (second run was OK).

Fingers crossed it will not return...

In the past I've had the hammer blade come in contact slightly with the frame of the gun slowing down the strike ever so slowly while still making an impression on the cartridge but making a misfire anyhow . Filing the hammer blade on the side that looks like its hitting the frame is good but also filing the base on the hammer where the blade starts to make the hammer go further forward to the cartridge making a deeper strike. Can you make out what I'm trying to say . Heck thats only if it acts up again ,
Hey I do have a question just why are Europe's postal rates thru the roof sending to the U.S. anyhow ?? Italy for instance for a U.S. three dollar item they want anything over thirty dollars (thats a cheap call) U.S. Germany ,Great Briten not much better . Its like they have to send by spacecraft .

The same thing happened on my brand new sidewinder. I smoothed out the hammer and polished it. Still a bunch of misfires. Replaced the hammer spring. Fixed. These flat hammer springs get weak after awhile. Sometimes a brand new gun has a weak hammer spring. If you're going to own minis, buy a half dozen hammer springs from NAA. You'll need them.

Always good to have a lot of extra parts (springs mainly) on hand for years to come . ;)

The gun is few month old and we do have 2 years warranty here, so I do not want to file anything for at least another 20 month. 8-)

The postage prices are of the same height the other way also, why? 8-D

And aliexpress sends free of charge, or at about $2... ;-/

It sounds reasonable, to buy spring. Are there any other parts, that are easily worn off?
We have here NAA reseller, that should have these parts, I'll ask them.

Besides, why I have to retype unreadable captcha (5th try!) and wait more than 2 weeks for my post approval here?

Did you find out if the hammer spring was the issue? 🙂

It was to me?
No, I found nothing, it is functional now.
50 rounds, no failure last week.
