considering my 6th NAA purchase

Yes I reckon I'm a true fan, a shooter and collector of NAA. Now that I've fired off my new Earl at several targets, I found it has more accuracy, (better sucess at 15 feet than my other 4 models) The longer barrel and sight extension makes a difference.
So I'm thinking about maybe the Mini Master for my 6th purchase if I can find the right price. I mean adjustable sights can only help, right?
I just can't justify the Ranger II and Sidewinder at the current prices right now. But then I know they will only increse in time. So maybe I should bite the bullet and get the Ranger while the getting is fairly good. I don't care much for the aesthetics of the Sidewinder.
If I could have my druthers I would want the Mini Master in a high luster blued finish like the Colt Python. That would be so cool! ;D

You may not need it but should have it.

Try a Hog Leg. Full 6" barrel.

I know how you feel.

After shooting my 4" Earl. I was wanting to add a mini master to my collection too.

If I saw one at a reasonable price, I'd probably get it. But over the years. I have only seen 1 or 2 at my local gun stores.

My lovely bride of 50 years plus asks why buy more, you already have 5? I answered by saying because there are more!  :-*
Plus it's an investment! What firearm has ever gone down in value? ???
I bought a Colt Anaconda for $400 20 yearsa ago and today it goes for $1400!

Anvil, you've got quite a collection going. Have you been doing any shooting?

LHB

Anvil, just tell your wife to look at them as shoes, I'll bet that if she is like most women, she has shoes that she hasn't worn in ages, and maybe only worn once, since they were bought to go with that special outfit she bought for a special occasion, but the shoes aren't comfortable.

Anvil,
No doubt about it,you definitely have a serious problem!!!!

No matter what your choice is,it will be a good one because they are all superb.

I have a feeling that you are doing with what Uncle Lee does and stores the minis in shoe boxes.  That way they tend to "multiply"

Soon you will have shoeboxes all over your house. 8) 8)

my cousin has a private shooting range set up in the Flint Hills. I used to to go out there and shoot big bore IHMSA handguns at 200 yds but now older and retired, I just fire off the mini rimfires at close range targets. :)

Avil,
You are right there!!!

I hope that all goes well with your choice.  Or should I say choices???

I too now prefer,in my "mature" years,to shoot the lighter caliber pieces.

Yeah, my Marine Iraq vet son-in-law thinks I'm a wuss with all my rimfire calibers but I gifted him at Christmas past with my old Colt 1911 (1990) so now we are good! ;)

Anvil,
That sounds like a pretty good trade   guns for grandsons.

Tell your Marine son that a friend of mine (no longer with us) was Ira Haye's squad leader on Iwo Jima.

In the photo of the squad of Marines standing beneath the 2nd flag raised,he is the fourth from the left raising his M-1 Garand.

His name was John Roma.

I was in 'Nam  64  65 66 (not a Marine)

My dad fought in the South Pacific. Okinawa, Solomon Islands, the Marshals etc.
He passed away in 2018. He's the Marine on the far right

That is some photo!!!

My classmate's Uncle,John Hugh Leckie, wrote the book     Helmet For MY Pillow   about the Marines on Guadacanal.

You ever notice how our service personell,no matter how impossible the job, they do it without any questions?

Shame our politicians don't follow that expample.

OK,I drifted off the thread big time.

Let us know how the range session goes with your new choice (or maybe choices?).

Hey Anvil,
My dad fought along side your dad. Don't know where all he went, didn't talk much about that. I do know he was one of the first onto Okinawa. He was an army signalman assigned to the Marines.

He was with the 6th Marine Division. Okinawa battle was really rough. My dad never talked much about it but in his latter years I took him to a few Marine reunions and heard a lot of stories.

"Guns for grandsons"? Good idea!
Hmmmmmm......maybe I'll start "guns for great-grandsons" with my new grandson-in-law.

RE: Adding to your collection - how's about a Ranger or a Sidewinder?

Anvil

I've not found the Ranger or the Sidewinder within my budget yet. When and if I do I will jump on it!
I like the Ranger in the longer barrel!
