10 states have officially stated firearms. Alaska, Arizona, Utah, Indiana, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Tennessee, Texas, and Missouri
I have proposed to the state of Kansas legislature that we make our state the 11th. Kansas has a rich history of the wild west so considering which weapon to represent the state is a real challenge.
My proposal included...
1866 Springfiled 50 cal, buffalo rifle
Kit Carson's 1865 Spencer 50 cal. repeater
Hickok's 1851 Navy Colts
Winchester 1873 (the gun that won the west)
Earp's 45 Colt Buntline.
I sent it to 5 senators and 5 house representatives with one positive response saying we should do this!
Personally I think the buffalo rifle fits best.
You may not need it but should have it.

Good idea, and good on you for proposing it.
Hope your legislature is not dominated by the woke crowd.
