Another Offering to the Gun Fairy

Put this out this morning ................ see if it catches the Gun Fairy's attention. Some nice nickel plated .38 Special casings and some smooth Irish Whiskey. She can sip some down as she listens and relaxes near the splashing fall .............. Wonder what she may bring to the table?

Well the Gun Fairy delivered. She did not bring any ammo but she was quite generous with her delivery. Appears to be a classic Colt .38 Detective's Special out of New York. That makes a pair we now have. We shall call them the Twins.

Beautiful! does it have the nypd stamp on it? you know what would go nicely with that? the 32 long even more classic detective special! start saving for something special for the gun fairy

  I'm with HeyJoe on that response also love that piece of brass for that grip extension . Something about brass that just wants one to keep high polished . That addition doesn't drive your finger knuckles into the trigger guard ? But beautiful surely describes this classic design . I WANT MY OWN GUN FAIRY Where can I buy one or kidnap one and kept in the closet along with Santa Claus Easter Bunny Saint Patrick and Jimmy Hoffa .

  Nice gun BUT . Those prices are ridicules and then again thats the way pricing has gone on everything . Seems a lot of people think they have the only one left on earth . Those prices command nothing but one in its original box unopened .

Do not believe so ............ we did not notice one when we cleaned her up but we will have to look a bit more carefully when we get back home. Our previous one did come from a retired NYPD Officer.

By the way .............. the Gun Fairy dropped off some accouterments for the Colts last night. Will get some photos in the Courtyard tomorrow of the Twins.

Forgot about these shots, promised to be posted. Thought we had done so already ............. So for Heyjoe and Uncle Lee's morning coffee sipping as well as anyone else interested, here are  what we like to call the Twins. Two Colt Detective Specials, both out of New York City; one was a NYPD's backup gun.
