I was told the other day by a firearms instructor that NAA's lack the killing power to properly defend one's self.
I'm sure Most of us here own these firearms to deter and protect and not to actually kill!
In most instances a wounded intruder will not advance, turn away and run!
I would hate to live with the thought of killing someone no matter the circumstnaces. :(
If my intensions were to kill an intruder or an evil culprit I would carry my .45 ACP instead of my Pug!
NAA's serve a good purpose!  ;D

You may not need it but should have it.

Anvil,
You have some very good points there.

But I will say that the 22 mag is not really to be trifled with.

As I had said before, the late Bill Jordan said that it was a "wicked little cartridge"

heyjoe

there are many people in the grave who would attest to the "killing" power ( stupid for a firearms instructor to say in my opinion since the goal is to stop not to kill when there  is an existential threat to yourself or others) of a .22.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

25 years of being authorized to carry a firearm FOR the state of Maine.  We were always instructed that we shoot to stop not to kill.

Hey Joe & Blue Cow,

I agree with you both.

Blue Cow,

Where in Maine? I have been packing there (Jackman) for 50+ years.
