Does anyone here have the case hardened 22 short?
I must admit it looks really stellar! ;)
I would like to see NAA be more versitle in offering firearms like this!
I covet my 22 mag Shadow mostly because it's different.
I mean a hogleg in a high luster blued finish with ivory type grips would be awesome.
My first centerfire rifle was a case hardened Winchester 94 and that finish has been partial to me ever since.
You may not need it but should have it.

My opinion is case hardening just makes any weapon look like the real deal , all other finishes just O.K.  ;)  ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

OV I agree 100%!
But I think I read somewhere that parkerizing is the best finish since it is self-lubricating? Not sure how that works. ???

Colour Case Hardened for the win:

I truly love my old Savage single shot model 72 Crackshot with the hardened case receiver.
The serial number started with B00 so I named it Boo. :D
I just hope my grandson will someday appreciate it as much as I did. However that is doubtful since kids today spend their time indoors on the internet instead of out in the great outdoors! ::)
This rifle helped me make for some tasty roasted squirrel and rabbit over an open fire when I was young and camping out with my dad.
And yes, cottontails taste better than chicken but squirrel not so much.
My dad taught me how to braize (with butter) and broil what he called "wilderness food.
Squirrel and rabbit is  what he called "poor peoples food!"

I've contemplated having my Pug redone in case Hardening. I found a site the other day that priced it at $125 but now I can't find it again. Can Stainless Steel even be resurfaced to this process?  ???
