Anyone have an NAA Hogleg? I don't have one, but I feel like I should. I think I need one with the lr cylinder so I can have some backyard fun with some CB's.

I really like my 4 inch Earl so I'm sure the Hogleg will perform just as well if not even better. I actually prefer mine over my S&W 22lr Kit gun because it is a 22 mag, has a longer sight radious and is much lighter than the J frame . ;D
Plus I hit 5 0ut of 5 cans with it at 5 yds.
You may not need it but should have it.

Ozark,

I have a feeling that a hogleg for you is in the near future.

You know you are going to get one so just do it.

For shooting at cans, or better yet plastic bottles, inconspicuously in the backyard we prefer something like this:
Wounds of the flesh a surgeon's skill may heal but wounded honour is only cured with steel.

Ozark75

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I need a Hogleg. I posted to the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

Yup the last pieces to be sold on the market . The ivory I was told was legally culled from live elephants . Shame there isn't anymore to be found because it finishes off so nicely and feels outrageous when holding . ;)  ;)

Thanks TopDog . The grips on the Hogleg look a little odd one might say but I didn't want to waste any ivory unnecessarily on making them look as the pair above that one , shaped as those . Mammoth ivory is still everywhere  if one wants to make their own grips . That first "Earl" has the mammoth ivory . I've made a number of grips from all sorts of materials even petrified wood (killer stuff to work with though) ,super hard like diamond almost . ;)  ;) Pieces of petrified wood below and grips I've made ..

I'm always trying to get you other fella out there to give it a try making grips . Start slowly with a shape in mind get out the old Dremel machine and go to it , don't need to be fast just a feww minutes a day and before you know it you've made a beautiful set of homemade grips . Start small like birds head till you know you can do boots just as easy . Draw a set out on paper with what materials you have on the brain ,picture it in your head always helps , get what material you want and get to grinding (with mask its gets real dusty) , But remember most of all measure TWICE cut ONCE continually fitting to the gun . NAA was nice enough to send me a back end of a broken gun to help in shaping the piece first (never grip with the new gun) just ask .Oh after your finish the shape fit the centering inserts (as the ones in my picture ). I glue those and add tiny flathead screws to make sure they stay in place even with epoxy (little bit or you'll glue to frame) . My next set will be in American buffalo sooner or later (I've made so many I easily get distracted on something else and I hate that) .By the way working with antler will be the easier material to work with till your ready to move up into more costly pieces . I'm glad to help anyone thru this process . P.S. I work with everyday items as tools no fancy stull except my tried and true Dremel . After you think your finished then comes the polishing to a glass shine and feel . Polish gently because all materials will burn if forced with the exceptions of rock hard stuff .   I know I kmow I'm long winded ,Ha ,Ha . JUST MAKE SOME PLEASE . ;)  ;)  ;)

Good for you Ozark you'll enjoy shooting it as well . Both cylinders I presume if not you gotta have them , handy for the fact you can use cheaper ammo with the long rifles ..  Happy trails my friend .  :)  :)  :)

Yes, both cylinders.

What's so cool about NAA firearms is you can have a tiny 22 short up to a bigtime Hogleg in 22 Mag just for fun, concealabilty, protection and even collecting.

You may not need it but should have it.

Rick_Jorgenson

The Hog Leg is very fun to shoot! Very accurate and smooth to shoot

OV haunted me about not having a Hog Leg and kept showing pictures of his... so I had to get one!  :o

These are all of my Octagon Barrel NAA's

And a Holster Photo for the Hog Leg  ;)

Who me ?? Naaaaaaa not me . How could a little guy like me influence such a master of leather goods. I think you need another one for the left hand . now you would be stating a great statement walking up to the firing range with those strapped to your side . WOW ! ! !
