Need to liven this place up a bit and give Uncle Lee something to gaze upon with his morning coffee .......... so here is a pair:
Wounds of the flesh a surgeon's skill may heal but wounded honour is only cured with steel.

top dog

Rogue,
Nice stuff there for sure!!

Where did you get those grips??  They look nice and I bet helps absorb the recoil.

OV-1D

Very ,very nice Rogue Great photo . Now you need a couple of Huckleberry holster rigs to carry under a nice leather jacket for winter to keep those beauties warm . ;)  ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

They each have an AIWB kydex holster they get carried in. "Two guns ............. one for each of ya."  ;)

PS: The grips come from a maker on Ebay Top Dog. They fit perfectly, right out of the box. We did take the somewhat pointy ends off the butts though. Merely a cosmetic thing.

top dog

Rogue,
What loads do you use in those snubbies??

I have found that regardless of all the hype,a nice wadcutter load works best. No real need for that +P stuff.

                                              Top Dog

RogueTS1

Top Dog, we do not use +P loads in them. We use standard velocity Federal Hydra Shock in them presently. We are working on a Wadcutter load but laziness has kept us from testing to find the best load data before finalizing the design.

I agree with the use and carrying of wadcutters in 38's in several circumstances. For totally new shooters who are looking for a carry gun and have no experience with firearms, i recommend a 38 revolver loaded with wad cutters to practice to become proficient and to subsequently carry. Gun stores almost universally push semi autos on people who have no experience with firearms and are looking for a firearm for home and self defense. many cannot handle it. Wad cutters are also good to carry with older revolvers like the smith and wesson Baby Chief. And of course there is nothing wrong with carrying them in 38's in general.

A couple of my favorites...

top dog

Ozark,
They look very nice,what caliber??

Rogue & Hey Joe,
Yep,I agree with you. No real need for that +P stuff.

The Hydar-Shok rounds were first developed by two NY State Troopers I thing it was in the late 60s or early 70s.

Then some years later the design was taken over by Federal.  Very good rounds.

We all have some pretty good tastes don't we . Those smaller 38's do have a special place in me heart . Hey those two antiques aren't bad neither , still some black powder shells out there but I found no need to get any seeing shorts and longs will suffice . :)

We love the shrouded hammers. If they make one and we want a certain model it will always have the shrouded hammer. Good ole Humpback.

Superb shape but S&W said not to fire it ................. too valuable and next to no parts for repairs.  So she sits in the safe. :-[
