OMG! Help!
My handle just broke in two on my Lazyboy recliner! 
I'm in the far back position and can't get up. 
I called 911 and asked for someone to bring me another whisky! :-[ 
Yep, I'm still there!  :'(

Well, that's the seond one that's broke on me.  >:(
I'm not about to be suckered into a 3rd so Jerry-rigged  it.  :)

And yes, the wife thinks it's atrocious! 
Maybe if I paint it brown?

Anvil, truth be told ............. most reclining levers on a recliner do not look that good when brand new. To us, they just look out of place on a piece of furniture. Paint that thing a matching brown and it could not look any worse than new ............... and maybe even better.

Haven't had a recliner with a lever in a long time. Both ours have push buttons. Electric.

So now the wife says my recliner looks like a farm thing if not a barn thing and she'll not invite any visitors or welcome family over until I replace the chair. Yeah, I'm okay with that!  8)

Both my wife, who has passed on, and myself grew up on farms, so that description would not bother us.
Also, her power lift chair had a battery backup, good for about one and a half cycles of the lift, so I made sure to always have fresh 9-volt batteries on hand.

So I wrapped a present for my grandson myself and when I put it under the tree the wife saw it and then wrapped it again because it was not perfect. What? I mean the kid will rip it apart in 5 seconds! ::) 
But after 51 years of wedlock you just got to love her! :-*

Again with the chair for the real manly man look for that lever a 24 inch pipe wrench would look fabulous and last forever , HECK WHO'S CHAIR IS IT ANYWAYS ANVIL , TIME TO TALE BACK YOUR MANLY MAN CHAIR .

I know where you coming from with the wrapping paper. Mine has even changed the paper because it wasn't the pattern she liked for that person.

My mom would save the Sunday funnies all year and use them to wrap some of the presents.
