Smith and Wesson was the first to intoduce the .22 short rimfire revolver way back in 1857.
So why not reintroduce it in a more modern improved version?
NAA today models are not that far off from the original S&W models.
I know and trust NAA can do it!
.22 shorts are so much fun to shoot and very economical.

You may not need it but should have it.

Such beaty in one place thanks Anvil those are great pieces . The only problem was the hinge area on those models at least the cheaper ones , fine many cracked or wobbly due to usage , I've bought a few and resold if I found a problem on any antiques or just sent back to sellers  .. I did fix one that was broke but I won't trust it to shoot ,anything over CB's anyhow . Definitely would be nice to see a remake of a S&W though .;)  ;)
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

With a new model introduced, a top break or or bottom break wouldn't be necessary. Just a pull out pin like the S model has to remove the cylinder. I really like shooting the 22 short but a longer barrel would help eliminate those pesky keyhole shots. ::)
Adding some brass to the frame would really make it look great too!

How about thinking outside the box with a totally new brass model (steel barreled and working internals) Those cold steels would look absolutely outrageous in a "EARL" version . So many variables its mind blowing on what can be thought of .  ;)  .

revolver sales in general are not a large part of the market anymore. don't expect too much innovation in revolvers going forward.
It's too bad that our friends cant be here with us today

I believe your right HeyJoe even the antique market is losing its customers , its the "NEW" generation that seems to not have much interest in anything except high capisity magazines in 9mm no less or high capisity military arms foreign and domestic . Heck its children committing  most crimes and can't handle anything larger like 45 cal . The world is changing before our eyes don't you think? Good for us collectors but bad for resale values . :(  :(

Yep, collecting anything is more a passion than for a profit.
However gold and silver might be the exception. ;D

I would like an NAA short with longer barrel. But, for now....

My bets on bullion not coins . Bullion is the real deal and one price only not like coins that woulda coulda be in better shapes and qualities .Collecting coins is a personal thing like you say but not for profit .
I've been working condos overlooking the beaches (great office for work) for thirty some odd years and have seen and within throwing distances those salvage outfits come across a couple of wrecks over the years digging up countless gold and silver aside from all the other treasures . Something I forever dreamed of doing looking for treasures after being thrown into the Florida tropics years back from the parents retiring here . Sorry to say I never was never privy or able to conduct my real dream. Being a twentieth century pirate would have been cool . Thats were I'd like to turn time back too being young enough to be a deep sea treasure finder .   P.S. anybody with the notion theres still countless more treasures of undiscovered wealth out there under the sands , who's game ???;)  ;)  ;)

Well OV, I've hunted prairie treasures for decades. I've found lots of indian artifacts and a very few US cavalry items.
When I retired I got into metal detecting around the old abandoned fort sites but to no avail other than some .44 sharps lead bullets. The ground is just too dang hard to dig down far enough even with a pickaxe!
Anyway it's assuring to have a mini 22 WMR in the holster when you are out on the open range.
