Astra Cub firing pin

It's well known that Astra Cub and Colt Junior pistols originally had non-inertial firing pins. Colt did a recall to replace the firing pins with inertial ones (in the Colt models, anyway).

Does anyone know what that work entailed? Did they alter the pin and spring or replace them with parts of a different design? I can't find that information anywhere. Replacement pins and springs are still available, but the descriptions don't say whether they're for an inertial or non-inertial setup.

OLD and GRUMPY

I would call the maker if they are still in business.  If there was a recall the offer should still be good. Ruger has a recall for old revolvers to install the new type safer firing pin with  that plate that closes a gap when the trigger is pulled. They send you a shipping box. No cost except for postage?
Death before Decaf !!!!!

Numrich Gun Parts website lists the firing pin along with other parts for the Cub.

I make them and fit them to your slide.
They aren't cheap, but they are done properly.

It would be great to have the project done right. Bill, please send me a message so we can talk about the "not cheap" offer.
