I had ordered (mid Dec) a Sidewinder NAA-SWC through my dealer (I didn't know about the earlybird sale) . After talking on the phone this morning to Davidson's (Gallery Of Guns) I found they claimed they didn't know what I was talking about and did NOT have them on order! They told me their next order would not even be made until some time in Feburary 2013 !   After calling NAA I found that the Sidewinder (NAA-SWC) will not even be shipped to the wholesalers until sometime in Feb.2013.  I guess my old eyes read wrong that they would be " into the system before the Shot Show " AND would be telling everyone there they would be "available immediately" ! I could only presume the "They" were talking of was the 2 Sidewinders listed in the NAA web sight FOR SALE ?  The 2013 "Shot show starts in 13 days January 15 ,2013 .       Hype gives some "earlybirds" ,or whom ever it is, extra time to sell for double the MSRP price, 3  listed on GunBroker.com $740 , $695 , and $740 ?  Gives time for a MSRP price increase before they are even for sale? I don't have a clue, and asking gets one no real true answers.

Well until I get my 2 eb SW , I don't think you should be able to order one. ;D
I ordered many months ago myself.

"Available" doesn't necessarily mean you can actually "get one" yet. :( Ask Seecamp owners, or those who want an AR-15 right now.

My brother hasn't been an active shooter for most of our lives, although he was a small-game hunter when we were teenagers, and occasionally goes shooting with me. But he is currently in the process of buying some guns for self defense, because he's concerned he might not have the chance later on. I think much of the country is in that "gun buying" frenzy right now--even those who aren't typically gun buyers.

Add that on top of the Sidewinder being a new gun, just BARELY being released into general distribution, and I think you're likely going to have a tough time getting one.

My thanks (again!) go to NAA for allowing us to buy them before they begin official distribution. I mea, what gun manufacturers DO THAT? ;) THANKS NAA!

So, keep on the distributors and look for one. When NAA released the Hog Leg, they didn't have an Early-Bird version, so I had to go thru "regular channels." Not all distributors even receive from NAA. You may need to find out where NAA sends them and have your dealer call them. That's what I essentially did to get my Hog Leg (using a dealer HERE on the board).

I have to openly apoligize for going off on NAA on earlier posts but I was counting on credit card being charged out relatively soon . Well I don't know if this happened to you but all cerdit card balances have been lowered , even Home Depots card why I don't know so holding up just one credit card during Christmas season is one pain in the rear especially after all limits were cut by atleast a half or more . Kinda selfish but I needed that gun BAD . Thats laying it out for ya's . Happy New Year NAA especially Jessica . You too Sandy .
TO ARMS , TO ARMS the liberal socialists are coming . Load and prime your weapons . Don't shoot till you see their UN patches or the Obama bumper stickers , literally . And shoot any politician that says he wants to help you or us .

Relic,

Maybe we will no more when the monthly soapbox is posted. The Sidewinder is an outstanding product and worth the wait!

I am pleased with my 'Early Bird Sidewinder' combo.  It is in good company with my 'Breaktop' (Ranger) and 6" Hogleg.  But, it looks good alongside the TALO King and Queen of Hearts as well as the TALO Black Jack.  Love those NAA minis..........

What's next, Sandy?  Don't keep us waiting too long.

Did your local dealer actually know about the SW or did you have to educate him? (Just curious)

While Davidson's (Gallery of Guns) may not acknowledge the SW existence, Lipsey's has it listed on their web site, just "Out of Stock". If your local guy buys from them, ask him to put it on his "Wish List". The SWs have been on mine for sometime.
Guns are a lot like parachutes:

Things have changed since you talked to them or they lied to you:

From Sandy's soapbox today:

"Contrary to some of the speculation and erroneous reports I've read on our Message Board, virtually every one of our distributors is aware of and has placed orders for this product. Similarly, I can assure you that we will manufacture this product every month (and probably every week, starting with this one) going forward."

So there ya go! The Sidewinders are in the pipe! It sounds like NAA plans to ramp up production so they become rapidly available. Sweet deal!

I predict that NAA will have a hard time keeping up with demand. Making a swing-out cylinder was a HUGE move by NAA that I think will greatly increase the breadth of their market. Some people just don't like removing the cylinder to load it. It's a fact, even if we don't quite understand it. Many more people will now consider an NAA mini now that it has a "traditional" cylinder, where they wouldn't before.

Kudos to NAA! :) (And thanks Sandy for the update!)

Doesn't sound like they can currently ramp up enough!  Almost all 2013 sidewinder production already spoken for.  I think this will become the standard mini configuration in coming years for all the reasons above.  I think most people will pay the freight to have a normal swingout cylinder configuiration especially those coming into a mini for the first time.  Hope their profit margins are where they need to be.

uncle_lee ,
Nope ,you are WRONG !
You failed to really read my post !!!!
I reported the facts about my "Davidson's' conversation on 01/02/2013 about the NAA-SWC ONLY. No where in my post did I comment on a Davidson's telling me that they new nothing about the NAA_SW that you posted about !!!!!  I'm not sure if you know the difference?  NAA-SWC is the 2 (two) cyl gun.  You might want to backup and read my post for what it says and not what you think you see, no offence,as the older I get I read between the lines and loose the meaning sometime. At least thats what the wife tells me :)

naa_collector,
I can only guess your Sidewinder post is correct.
But " Davidson's Inc " did NOT know of a NAA_CWC on 01/02/2013 ,as per our conversation, nor have ordered any NAA-SWCs because they must be a very small wholesaler at the far end of this very vast " NAA "pipe line" ?

Mr. Hunter,
You are totally correct in part of your statement.
I read your post and of all it, I missed one letter. The letter "C".
Ain't too bad for old eyes.

I know what the letter "C" means in NAA-SWC.
I have two of them. #11 & #12.

I also have about three dozen other minis.
So I recon I do know the models and numbers.

I was trying to help you, not offend you to where you jump down my throat like a pig footed son of a dog.

I won't make that mistake twice.
I won't be trying to help you again.

Take your needs and poke them.
