I've seen this gun on the Internet only but never in stores or gun shows. I understand its a distributor edition model, do they show up anywhere else? I like the fact that its black. Do any other NAA models come in black?

Bubba

I found a Blackjack used at a local shop.. so they are out there

but they are all from one distributor, so the gunshop you order from would need to work with that distributor

There is/was a two tone with black IIRC

You can always to go GunBroker.com, but you'll likely pay more, not even considering the shipping and FFL fees. But you can get one.

Have your dealer contact Zander's they have them in stock.
They will charge you an extra $20.00 per gun for consecutive searil numbers.

BUT...........
It is twice the LOVE......
As small as the minis are, you can fully fondle one in each hand.

Take a big .50 AE Desert Eagle, it takes three hands to fondle one of those and do a good job.
Too much of a good thing.
In this case, smaller is better.

And with a pair, one doesn't get lonely.

I learn this from Uncle Lee.  Good but expensive lesson.

The Black Jack is a TALO gun. TALO is a distributor who will commission a certain configuration, and agree to buy "X" number from the factory. They will then sell them to distributors, who sell to gun shops. Some distributors do not carry TALO guns. I checked 3, and only Zanders has any, and only 2. They are the Black Jack II, which means they have the 1 5/8 barrel and white "Pearl" grips, with the black spade in them. If you want a 1 1/8 barrel gun, it will just about have to be used, as all of the 1 1/8 barrel guns are sold out. Typically, once TALO completes a run of any given configuration, they will never be made exactly like that again. (Of course, there may be someone on here who can verify or correct my previous statement, but I believe it to be correct.)

To the best of my knowledge, this is the only black gun NAA has ever made. They do sell a blue steel gun, which is beautiful. The BJ is a SS gun, with a Diamond Like Carbon coating. It is very durable. I have carried mine some, mostly w/o a holster, and can see no wear.

Thanks for all the info. I own several pistols and a couple rifles. I have bought half at gun shows and the other half at sporting goods stores. I don't have a dealer that I use to get my guns. It would be nice when something comes up like this. So I get a dealer to contact who has the blackjack II and then I assume he buys it at re sells it to me with extra fees? I'm in TX, do different states handle this differently?

Uncle_Lee

Find a dealer who will contact Zanders Sporting Goods and order you one (or two) of these:

Lots of luck,

You have a pretty good grasp of how it works. It is commonly referred to as running a business. You do have another option: Order one through a seller on the INTERNET, and have it delivered to a local gun shop. All firearms bought out of state have to be transferred through an FFL holder. That FFL holder is allowed to charge a fee for his services. This should not be confused with the local FFL holder being considered the seller. He is not. He is simply transferring it. I have had one or 2 get almost indignant when told if they wanted to wait until I finished with my customers, I would answer their questions about how to operate their new gun, since they had no clue. They quickly pointed out they just purchased the gun from me and expected better service. I pointed out even quicker they did not buy their gun from me, but rather from a competing dealer in a different state. I suggested to one "gentleman" he go and ask his seller how it works. Afterall, that is part of the mark-up in price of any item: To help cover the cost of selling it. While you can save money buying over the INTERNET, if you do not know a lot about what you are doing, it may not be wise.

Just for the record, I have never let anyone leave my shop without knowing how to safely use a firearm. Even the ones who bought it from someone else. It is kinda like buying a computer at Office Max, and taking it to Best Buy to learn about it.

I run a business, a painting company. It's a lot different than guns. I think it's simpler to find a dealer who carries this pistol already and just buy it. Like all the others
Thanks

Uncle_Lee

Good Luck.
I hope you find one real soon. (at least before warm weather)
And at a reasonable price.

I just bought one 1-3-13
It was the only one the dealer had.
If I had a choice, I would have gotten something else.
I plan to replace the grip with a holster grip.

Maybe if you offer me enough?????  How bad do you want one?
Love my little mini almost as much as I love my hubby!
