I have an older .22lr mini revolver 1 1/8 inch barrel serial #Bxxxxx Without the safety notches on the cylinder.
I purchased it in the late 80's as the best I can remember.

I am trying to locate replacement wood grips, I ordered a set from Numrich gun parts but they are not the same grips as I originally had.
The wood grips I had seemed much thinner and these do not fit the profile of the metal grip area and do not line up correctly.
The part # I received from numrich matches the part # on the NAA webpage of GST-L.

Were different grips used on the older version and if so where can I get a replacement set?

There are two grips Mag and the smaller LR, they have been pretty consistent over the years,  maybe way back they were different?

I know that they had diff grips my first mini  hardwood grips and they whear more rounded like what is coming out on the sidewinder.  Not sure how to get replacment grips.  If you have no usable grips i would look for some after market.  Just so you can shoot it now why you look for older grips i like the chang grips for shooting.  I have a box full of grips that i have tryed so there is lots to try

I've got one of the original style holster grips on it (that completely encloses the mini)
The original wood have been misplaced and I wanted to go back to the original grips for a while

Just buy them off of the NAA website. If you want them more rounded sandpaper and a  little linseed oil, Varnish, verithane, or whatever will solve the problam.

Current grips from NAA won't fit the old minis without modification. I had an older Newbury Park, CA, mini that had cracked grips--which was common for these older models if the grip screws were tightened too much.

I kept watching eBay and finally found a set that fit. You can tell if they are the older ones, because the old grips have a bit of a ramp on the top neer the cylinder, rather than just the smooth rounded grips they have now.

I found a set of wooden and plastic grips from the same guy and ordered the wooden ones, which won't crack like the plastic ones. They fit perfectly. I was tempted to get the plastic ones, too, but didn't really need two sets. I think they have since sold to somebody else.

jim60196,
My 1 1/8" .22 LR is 40 years old (4/1972).  I recently got a pair of new rosewood grips for it.  After cutting away a little of the wood which sticks into the frame with a knife, they fit perfectly.  The rosewood is very hard, so it takes a bit of work, but the results are worth it.
God bless,
Fr. Richard

NAA Customer Service is second to NONE.  Thank you NAA for caring so much for your customers!

The grips which were on your mini when it left the factory were a black, hard plastic type material. Like Collector pointed out, they would crack across where the screw hole was. And they would do so without over tightening the grips.

I have sent you a PM.

Youd didn't need overtighteniiing to crack, eh? Yah, could be. I never cracked mine. They came that way. So yeah, that's likely. I just assumed they were overtightened.

My original grips were actually white, tho, not black. I replaced them with original OEM wooden ones.
